"Impossible, outrageous, unacceptable," Black Hat aggressively threw random objects on the wall of his office to each adjective that described his unbelief. His voice was abnormally rough and he looked skeptical - a total mess just like the room.
"Preposterous, inconceivable, ludicrous,"
No, it couldn't be true. It shouldn't be true. Never in a million years. Not with him. How could it happen?!
His right hand reached for the red ruby skull on his desk, ready to throw it away too. "Absurd... this is an absurd..." But he placed it back when he finally calmed himself down.
The villain silently sat on his chair and leaned back wearily. He was sick of this.
Could Black Hat really be in... love?
Ugh, no.
Don't say it. Don't think. Don't say it. Don't think.
Just thinking about the word 'l-o-v-e' was like poison to him. He can't.
Feelings were such a complicated subject to a creature like Black Hat.
I mean - he is absolutely not human. And not a demon as people usually point him to be. He is something else. Something human brain can't just think about.
And, to him, feelings are... they are... They are nothing. Well, they used to be nothing. Until now. But-
"Uh, sir?" the villain recognized Y/N soft yet worried voice from behind the door. Why did she had to be there right now?! "I mean, Black Hat - can I enter? I have some subjects to discuss with you."
He stood there, quietly glaring at the door, carefully thinking about what to do. He could hear Y/N repeatedly tapping the doorknob. He could tell she was ansious about something.
Black Hat then sighed tiredly, almost like giving up. "Yes... you may come in."
Y/N usual calm smile spreaded a warm feeling on his body when she entered the room. Everything seemed brighter somehow.
The gir gazed to the floor, where lots of crashed objects were. "Hey, what happened here?!"
"Nothing you need to worry about," Black Hat answered coldly as usual. "Just sit and tell me the reason why you are here."
The villain watched Y/N sit awkwardly on a chair in front of his desk, excitedly leafing through some papers in her hands.
"As you asked earlier, I was designing some options for the logo of the organization. It took some time but I already have some good sketches here, but," she finally found the one she was looking for. The words 'Black Hat Inc.' written with a sinister font and a small elegant top hat by the side.
"...This one is my favorite until now. I think it shows the personality of the company and yours, too, and absolutely will attract the villainous audience even more than now!"
Black Hat took carefully the piece of paper from the girl's hands and analyzed it. His expression seemed bored, as if it wasn't something good enough.
Even without showing, he adored it. He could see Y/N had put a lot of effort on this one.
"It's presentable enough," Black Hat gave her the paper back, looking unimpressed. "And the tiny hat was a nice touch, by the way."
"Hehe, thanks, boss!" Y/N smiled warmly and got up, hugging the pile of papers. "I'll finish this now and then help Flug with something he asked, see you later!"
"Y/N, wait," he made her stop. His voice was grave and seemed serious. "I have something to ask you."
The girl sat back at the chair, confused by the serious tone of her boss. "Go ahead, sir."
