10. S O F T

"I thought I was sick or something like that! I even asked Flug about it! He told me I was... I was in love with... you!"

"Eh?" that's all Y/N could answer with a nervous smile while Black Hat kept complaining about being in love. It's been about ten minutes he's been walking side to side and talking about how mad he is about it non stop.

Inside Y/N was skeptical about the sudden confession. Black Hat was actually in love with her. No one she ever loved fell in love with her as well.

"I mean, how could I, the most evil being on this universe, fall in love?! And worst, with an human?! That's... disgusting! Humans are gross!"

The girl yawned and asked with a tired voice. "...Are you finished?"

"NOT YET!" On his most demonic form, Black Hat shouted. He soon came back to his normal self, adjusted his coat and briefly closed his eyes. "...Anyway, as I was saying... I was denying it as much as I could, but it was stronger than me! That feeling! That disgusting feeling only grew!"

Y/N was still staring at the villain, feeling static about everything that happened. It was so... unreal.

"And everything that passed on my mind was how much I wanted to be by your side..." his voice was suddenly sad someway.

Y/N felt her cheeks warming up when Black Hat said such thing, so she hid them with her tiny hands.

"I was mad... and I surely should be..." Black Hat sat back on his chair, looking down. His voice was totally different from what it usually is. It was so... low and soft. Almost like he was suffering. "But it actually felt... nice. I'm still confused about all of this. But I just couldn't stand one more day avoiding you and this... disgusting feeling."

"Black Hat, sir..." the girl looked desperately for anything but her boss. What was she supposed to do now? This never happened to her! "I... I don't really know what to say..."

But she did know. She couldn't blame Black Hat at all. Because Y/N's been trying to avoid her own feelings, too. She knew all along that what she truly felt was actually love. But she denied and kept denying for weeks, as much as she could.

"Just... say something. Anything." Black Hat then sighed slowly. Y/N could see he was tired of all of this. "I don't know why but I'm expecting something."

Y/N closed her eyes, nervous because she has never been in this situation before. She could feel Black Hat's serious gaze on her.

But she made up her mind. It's now or never. Y/N won't let her nervousness take her. She won't be a coward. Not anymore.

"It's been almost two months I've been here, but..." she opened her eyes, smiling warmly and looking at his worried face. "I'm already attached to you. A lot, you could say."

"And it means...?" the villain raised an eyebrow, unsure of what she meant.

"You dummy! It means I am also in love with you!" Y/N laughed playfully, trying to make the air less heavy.

Y/N stared at Black Hat with a grin on her face as his cheeks started to blush furiously.

"Hm... I wasn't expecting it." he said low, mostly to himself. "I mean - maybe I was expecting it. Just maybe. But now that it actually happened..."

"How are you feeling?" Y/N asked sweetly and curious as she placed her arms on the desk, resting her head on her hands.

"I do not know what this feeling is, but... I indeed feel great." Black Hat finally smiled, feeling relieved about something he didn't truly knew. "But now... what happens?"

Y/N was caught by surprise with this sudden question. Well, she truly didn't know how to correctly answer something like that.

"Uh, well..." Y/N laughed and looked to the sides, getting slightly nervous again. "Usually when two people confesses to each other, they sort of start dating..."

"It is settled, then. We are dating now." Black Hat's demanding voice said, interrupting the girl. "...Even though I don't know how this dating thing works."

Y/N laughed lightly, finally shaking her nervousness away. "Well, I can try something that may help you to understand it. Would you let me?"

The villain nodded quickly, extremely curious to see what the girl was going to do. "Yes, go ahead."

"First, you need to get up..." Y/N explained and reluctantly Black Hat did so.

The girl stood in front of Black Hat, looking up at his confused face. "Now, all you need to do is close your eyes."

"Close my eyes? Why would I even..."

"Just close it already!" Y/N demanded, trying to be angry but it was just adorable. Black Hat sighed, feeling defeated, and followed what she said.

Y/N took a deep breath and stood on her tiptoes, gently grabbing Black Hat's face by his cheeks with her little chubby hands. Why the hell did he had to be so tall?!

The sudden gesture, of course, made the villain open his eyes to know what was happening. He got utterly surprised when Y/N's lips touched his own gently.

The villain was completely unprepared. For the first time in forever Black Hat's mind was locked into the present. His worries simply evaporated.

Black Hat couldn't describe how this simple gesture could send shivers down his whole body. He was petrified. And, too bad for him, this new gesture ended soon.

Black Hat just stared at Y/N's blushing and smiling face. He then touched his own lips, still feeling the warmth of hers.

"So... what do you think?" Y/N giggled at his reaction.

"How...?" Black Hat said in a tone almost inaudible. "Again... do it again. I want more."

Y/N laughed sweetly at his cute innocense way. "Well, if that's what you wish."

Y/N gently leaned in again and kissed Black Hat's strangely cold lips, tangling her arms around his neck, pulling him closer until there was no space left between them.

Unexpectedly, the villain kissed Y/N back. It was clumsy at first, but he soon learned how it worked and she suddenly felt his hands wrapped around her waist.

A soft kiss turned into a passionate and demanding one really quick. Y/N could not complain about it, though. She indeed waited for a kiss like that for a long time.

And she was so glad that she could share the feeling with Black Hat.
