Dara's light sleep was disturbed by the sound of her phone vibrating on top of the nightstand. Her brows furrowed in slight annoyance. She had barely closed her eyes and she needed the sleep after a hectic week of filming for a guest role in a drama that she had been doing in between her radio segments. It was the first acting she accepted after so long and it was a highly stressful week for her.

She reached over to check her screen and found a reminder she had saved the year prior. The digital clock showed 12:00 am and flashing below it were the words that read, August 18: Jagiya's birthday.

She sat unmoving for a while. Contemplating on what to do. The past year she had concentrated on herself and she had accepted different hosting jobs from concert shows to TV shows while still holding on to her Switchboard Confessional segment. At first she accepted the work to mostly keep herself busy and stop herself from feeling down after Jiyong left but later she realized that she really enjoyed hosting. She realized that she loved interacting with people and getting to know them. Through her work, she was also learning about herself as well. The past few months marked another golden period in her life, professionally and personally.

But despite the positive change she had been going through, she would still find herself missing Jiyong at odd and random moments. The past week, though, she had been too tired to think or feel about anything and then now she received this reminder.

Her fingers hesitated for a few short moments but then they flurried all over the phone's screen.
She typed a message for him, "Jiyong, Happy Birthday. I wish someday you find the light at the end of the tunnel. Don't worry for me I am happy and am continuously learning to be happy. Hengsho."

There were moments when she was so tempted to contact him, especially during the first few weeks after he left but she had never given in to her urges so she wasn't sure if his personal number was still active. Before, she still had a frustrating mix of feelings - anger, longing, sadness, love, hurt, pity and bitterness - towards him that she so wanted to convey to him. Her heart and mind was a mess that she couldn't put everything that she was feeling into words but this time she only wanted one thing and that is to wish him well. From the bottom of her heart she did.

She was mature enough to know that nothing in life is definite. If they would end up together forever or forever apart no one knows but for everything that had happened in the past, at the end of it all she only wanted one thing for both Jiyong and herself - for both of them to be happy. With that thought in mind she pressed the send button on her phone.

She was about to lose consciousness when her phone sounded to notify her that she had received a message. She eyed her phone and on the middle of the screen read the notification:
Jagiya
