Hunter stood in my doorway, soaked since it was raining. He he looked freezing and once he saw me he gave a relieved sigh.     "Oh thank god its you." He sighed. "There's some mean old lady next door."

I laughed given his appearance, "That's Mrs. Carl. yeah, shes mean. What's up?"

"Uh, my car ran outta gas and...uh-"

"You have nowhere to stay?" I asked, raising my eyebrows.

  "Mhm..." He murmured, looking down.

"I guess you can stay here..." I said, looking at the couch.

"Thank you so much!" Hunter said, walking in.

I closed the door behind him. "Anytime?" I said, not knowing how to respond. "Umm, you need clothes, don't you?"

"Yeahhhhh.." Hunter said, looking down at his clothes.

"Alright, Be right back, DON'T ruin anything." I joked, smiling and looking into his light blue eyes. I turned and walked out of the apartment and down the hall to my friend's apartment. His name was Jake and he was nice. Jake was pretty good looking too, I have to admit i'd kinda have a crush on him I didn't feel anything for Hunter. Wait. Woah. Did I just? Ugh. I don't. I'm pretty sure... I knocked on Jake's door.

  "Mm?" he asked.

"Its me!" I called, and he opened the door.

"Hey Danny." He said, his eyes skimming my body.

"Hi..Jake, hey listen, can I borrow some clothes...I gotta friend who-"

"Ya okay." He said, he left and came back  minute later with a t-shirt and sweatpants.  "Here I'll walk ya."

"Okay." I said, feeling awkward for him to meet hunter. I walked him down the hall and into my apartment where Hunter stood. At the sight of Jake, He narrowed his eyes.

"Uhh, here!" Jake said, handing Hunter the clothes.

"Oh, cool, thanks!" Hunter said, forcing a smile at Jake.

Jake turned to me and looked my body up and down again before saying bye. After he left, Hunter went to change and came back looking at me with a serious face.

"I don't like that guy." He said, looking straight into my eyes.

I laughed, "You're not my boyfriend. You shouldn't worry."

Hunter shook his head, "No, its the way he looks at you. Its just not right."

"Look, he's my friend. I promise you its fine." I said, reassuring him.

Hunter sighed, "I'm just worried about you, Dan."

   "Why-"

"So umm, where am I uh.. sleeping?" Hunter asked, changing the subject. Obviously not knowing why he just said what he said.

"Oh! Um couch if you want, or my bed and i'll sleep there."

"It's okay, i'll sleep on the couch."

I hesitated before saying okay, and then said goodnight to him.   "Hey Danielle," Hunter said, sitting on the couch and looking at me, "do you um, like me?"

   I smiled, "No."

Hunter just nodded absent mindedly and looked at his feet. I took it as a signal I should leave so I did.

As I lay in bed that night, I looked at the wall of my room and saw the note hunter had given me the night of the concert. I smiled, he was such a sweet guy. Whoever he was falling for sure was lucky. I fell asleep with Hunter on my mind that night.

The next morning I woke up and got dressed before walking out into the kitchen. Hunter was already up and was making coffee. "G'morning Dan, I kinda just decided to make coffee."

I smiled, "Great. I was told you make a mean cup of coffee."

After enjoying a brilliant breakfast of coffee, I helped Hunter get gas and we both drove to the studio. Rob raised his eyebrows as we walked in together and I rolled my eyes.

"What happened last night?" Rob said, raising his eyebrows.

I blushed, and I'm pretty sure Hunter did too, but I gave Rob a soft slap on the arm.

"Shut up." I laughed. Sometimes we acted like siblings and sometimes we acted like father and daughter. Yeah, we were weird like that.

We did acoustics today and Hunter was AMAZING with the guitar. I felt like I couldn't play when I played with him.
