Guinevere's p.o.v
"Where are you leading me?"
I ask him as I walk next to him. He looks down at me with a smirk clear on his face.
"Lunch, duh."
He says and I giggle. His smirk changes into a bright smile at the sound of my laugh.
"You have a really beautiful laugh Guinevere."
He tells me and a blush comes over my cheeks. I feel sparks come from my hand and I look down to see Demitri's hand in mine. Part of me wants to rip my hand away, but the other part is telling be to give in and love my mate.
We walk through two large doors and into a large dining area. Maids are running around placing the food while others talk amongst themselves.
"Gwen!"
A female voice shouts and I look around to see Cammy and Havik running towards me.
"Cammy! Havik!"
I shout and run towards them. I let go of Demitri's hand as I dash towards them. The two females tackle me to the ground as we all burst out laughing. Demitri growls and pulls me out from under them.
"Mine."
He growls as he pulls me into his chest. Everyone in the room bursts out laughing at this.
"Demitri, chill they are my best friends."
I tell him and he let's me go. We walk over to the far end of the table where two empty chairs await us. Demitri pulls out my chair and I take a seat. He sits in his at the end of the table.
I look around and I see Lancelot with Cammy next to him. Havik, Carter, and Oliver are also here. But no Peter, I guess that is to be expected. Sadly.
"Today we gather here for a great announcement. Both General Lancelot and I have found our mate. Ladies if you would please stand up here."
Demitri says and both Cammy and I walk up and stand next to him. Lancelot follows behind Cammy as we stand.
"The crowning of a queen and the honor given to a general female is given through a ceremony. This ceremony has been sacred to my family for centuries. And today we will do it again for another generation."
Demitri says and my confusion grows. I notice how Cammy grabs Lancelot's hand.
"Demitri what are you planning?"
I ask him and the sound of a chair scraping against the floor is heard. I look over and I see a man dressed in a black rode with a white hat in his head. (Just imagine the pope) He looked rather old.
"Demitri! What on earth are you doing?! You can't do this! This marking ceremony can not come to pass. Your mate has had no clue and you were about to do it! Not to mention you clearly didn't consult your general male and female first."
The man said and Demitri sighed. I gasped and took a few steps away. I looked at Demitri with shock.
"I was beginning to trust you. But clearly you will have to gain it back."
I tell Demitri before I turn on my heels and walk out. This hurts me more than I show it. I feel betrayed and shocked that he didn't tell me. He would have forced marked me if it wasn't for that man. The man must be a priest of some sort. But why wouldn't Demitri ask me first?
"Guinevere. Guinevere please stop."
Demitri's voice says from behind me. Tears brim my eyes as I slowly give into my wolf. She wants me to accept him with no strings attached. Yet the human side keeps on getting betrayed. I stop but keep my back to him.
"What do you want?"
I ask him with a strong voice. That voice is the exact opposite of how I feel.
"I'm sorry. I just want you so much that I didn't think before I acted. Please Guinevere, I don't want to loose you."
He tells me. His voice cracks here and there as he forces a strong voice. I turn around to face him to see his blue eyes staring into my own.
"Demitri."
I tell him as the tears fall over. He runs to me with arms wide open. I gladly accept his embrace as I cry. The betrayal, shock, loss. I let everything out as he holds me there in the hallway.
"Demitri! I hate to interrupt but we have a messenger from the packs!"
Elliott says as he walks towards us. My cries have stopped and Demitri was just holding me. We both look at him and Demitri mumbles under his breath.
"Seriously?!"
He mumbles and I roll my eyes. Demitri and I pull away and follow after elliot.
