The sound of his iPhone vibrating against the marble top caused Logan's eyes to flutter open. He stared at the phone, internally cursing whoever was calling him so early in the morning. He reached out to grab the phone, simultaneously rubbing his eyes with his other and attempting to wake himself up. When his eyes finally adjusted to the brightness of the room, Logan focused his attention to the name popping up on his screen. A groan escaped his lips when he saw who was calling him. Logan took second to mentally prepare himself for the conversation ahead before his thumb pressed against the screen to accept the call.
"Good morning, Alex." Logan tried his mighty best to sound as if though he was actually happy that she had called. However, that couldn't be further from the truth. Logan and Alexandra had dated briefly while they were filming Sea of Monsters and unfortunately it didn't end well. Truth was, Logan just wasn't all that into the relationship and didn't put that much effort into the relationship. When he ended things with Alex, he couldn't confess his true reasons for breaking up with her, so instead he told her that he was just wasn't at a good place at the moment to be in a relationship. For some reason, she believed that all he needed was time and told Logan that she was prepared to wait as long as he needed. Apparently, she meant what she had said because she has made it clear to him in the last couple of months that she still had feelings for him.
"Hey! I'm sorry if I woke you but I heard you were in L.A and well, I'm visiting a friend of mine there so I was wondering if you wanted to go out for dinner or just hang out?"
Great, just my luck! Logan stared at his ceiling, trying to come up with a while to politely decline her invitation. Before they were in a relationship, Logan would not have taken more than a second to accept her offer. However, after they broke up Alex just became extremely clingy and their friendship just wasn't the same for him.
"I'm actually going to be pretty busy while I'm here." Logan felt bad for lying to her, but he honestly did not want to lead her own and everything worse. "However, if I have some time free, I'll give you a call, yeah?" At the end of the day she was still his friend and he couldn't ignore her forever.
"Oh, ok! Well, I gotta go but hopefully I'll see you soon. Bye!"
Logan whispered bye back before ending the call completely. A sigh escaped his lips before he rubbed his face with the palm of his hands in frustration. "That's what you get for dating your costar, you idiot." He said to himself as he got out of bed and walked to the bathroom where he took a shower and brushed his teeth.
After eating a simple breakfast consisting of eggs and bacon, he jumped on the coach to watch whatever he deemed entertaining on the TV. His publicist told him that he had nothing to do today he was allowed to do whatever he pleased.
As he skipped channel after channel, his thoughts drifted to last night. He could remember the disappointment that he felt when Selena had cancelled their plans but he understood the position she was in. After reassuring her that he wasn't angry with her, she promised they would hang out tomorrow.
Knowing it was still early, he decided to pass the time watching old movies and listening to music. As he scrolled through his twitter time line 2 hours later, he felt the phone vibrate in his hand and his eyes drifted upwards to see had a new message from Selena. A smile instantly appeared on his face as he touched his screen to make the message show.
