I turned my head to the front door, and I saw the same guy that lives right next door to me. But, when he came closer my heart started racing....what could this mean. Eric stood up, and walked up to the new guy and smiled, " Hey bro, how you been! " Eric said excitedly. The new guy looked at Eric, gave him a grin, and said: " Good as usual, you... ". Then he turns and looks at me, our eyes locked.
After what felt like forever, Jayla shooked me by my shoulders and said " HELLO! Earth to Alex! *kshhh* Um, Houston we have a problem. My best friend is IGNORING ME!". I looked away and looked at her " Jayla please don't make any puns, cuz you know my puns are out of this world! Badam ksh!". We both start laughing like crazy, and Eric and the other guy come back to the table. " Hey guys, this is my good friend, Josh.". " Um, yeah....hi." he awkwardly waved at us.
(Me: Wow he is so cute. Wait, WHAT! UUUHHHGGGGG!!! Author: Ummmm, r u ok?? Me: No? Yes? IDK ANYMORE!! Author: OK........I'm going to continue, k? Me: Yes, plz.). " Hey nice to meet ya, Josh, my name is Isaac. That's Tyler, Jayla, and Alex." Isaac said as he points at me. " Nice to meet you all!'' Josh said as he gives us a cute smirk. My face starts to burn up, then I noticed Jayla staring at my face smiling. I mouthed to her to shush, and she mouthed back her answer no. I start drinking my Frappuccino mocha and nibble a little bit of my chocolate chip cookie.
An hour past, with everyone talking to Josh, apparently he had just moved here with his mom and sister and will be going to Hamilton high with us on Monday. Everyone started to head home since it was getting late, and it was just me, Josh, and Jayla who were still in the cafe. When Jayla's mom picked her up, Josh had offered to walk me home since we lived next to each other. I didn't think much of it, plus it would be rude to say no, so we started walking home together. We both stayed quiet for about 10 mins, till Josh spoke. "Sooooo, how your day...?" I looked at but he looks the other way. "Um...good I guess. How about yours?"God this is awkward! I yell in my head. "Eh...pretty busy but still good!"Another silence cuts in between us. I look ahead and see my place. " So..um.. thanks for walking me home." I smiled awkwardly and put my hand on my head. He smiles back " Oh! Um... No problem" He quickly turns to his place as I run off to mine.
