Chapter 3 ~ Packing

Aphmau's POV

"Hmm... What about this?" I say as I pull out a purple flannel. "And maybe this under it..?" I grab a white under shirt. "Hmmm...."

"Anything would look good on you, babe. Just pick whatever!" Aaron smirks and I roll my eyes.

"I know, but, I just wanna look like I'm camping you know?" I say skimming my closet a couple times.

"Well... What exactly are you looking for? I think regular t-shirts would look okay... I mean, if you wanna pack anything else... That would be fine too..." He smirks again.

"What do you have in mind....?" I look over at him and raise my eyebrows.

He slowly walks over to me and pins me to the wall. His hand slowly goes to the side of me and reaches for something. Next thing I know he pulls out a purple and black sweatshirt.

"This, you never know if the weather will take a turn on us." He backs away from me to continue his packing. I sigh.

"Whatever...." I smile.

Katelyn's POV

"Kawaii~Chan! Do you know where my boots are?!" I say searching around my room, desperately.

"Sorry Katelyn, but Kawaii~Chan doesn't know where your boots are..." She says from the other room.

"Ugh... Maybe I left them outside..." I said and went in the backyard.

Nothing

I went out in the front porch and there they were.... Why in the world are they out here?

I reach down to grab them when I hear a familiar voice.

"Heeeyyyy Katelyn!" Travis's voice rings through the air.

"Oh... Hey Travis..." I say.

"What's wrong?" He walks up the stairs to the porch.

"Oh nothing... Just packing for the trip..!"

"You don't seem excited... Is something wrong?" He asks.

"No nothing's wrong, work has got me all stressed out and I haven't really had any time to pack..." I lean on the doorframe.

"Oh, I heard Aphmau saying that this is why she planned this trip for all of us." He says and gets closer to me.

"Yeah, I think we all need it... Kawaii~Chan too..." I say.

"Really? Well this trip will really be worth it then!"

"Yeah, but I'm worried about when we get back... Then we'll all have extra work to do..."

"True..." His expression quickly does from happy to disappointed.

"I'll just talk to Aphmau about it later, right now I gotta get packing!" I said and started to head inside.

"Yeah.. Me too! See ya later!" He said.

"Bye..." I said back and closed the door.

Aphmau's POV

"Okay! I think we're done! All I need to do is get extra dog food for the dogs and then we'll be all set!" I say as I grab my keys for the car.

"Woah, woah woah! Aph, calm down! We don't have to leave until three more days! I think we can relax for the rest of the day for once..." He grabs my arm.

"Yeah... I guess you're right..." I say and put the keys down.

I then hear Aaron's phone ring. He turned around and shook his head.

"Just give me a minute.." He walked towards his phone and answered it.

"Hello....? Yes... I know what you're going to say and my answer is no..... Listen, I...." He starts to talk but he goes outside to continue the conversation.

I sigh. I hear a meow and I see Eli rubbing against my leg.

"Oh! I almost forgot about you! What are we going to do with you...?" I think. "I mean, we could take you with us but it says dog friendly only.... But it also doesn't say anything about cats.... Eh, why not? I'll just take you with me!" I pick him up and he lets out a loud purr as I pet him.

"Alright... I'll be leaving for a few days, and I don't want anymore calls or texts from you! Understand?" He quickly hangs up as he comes inside.

He slams his phone down on the counter and stands there for a bit.

I walk up behind him and rub his back.

"Aaron...?" He looks down at me and his angered expression turns to a soft smile.

"Hey... Sorry about that... You shouldn't have to see me like that..." He just shakes his head.

I hug him from the side.

"It's fine, we are leaving to get away from this mess and it will all be okay! I promise!" I returns the hug and kisses the top of my head.

We sat in the couch in our normal position with his arm wrapped around me and me leaning on him.

He feels tenser than usual.

I really hope this vacation relieves this stress.....

Sorry for the short chapter! I promise the next one will be longer! (Not REALLY long though😅) I'm just really tires and I feel bad leaving this story untouched a lot. I will try to update every other day. But if I don't.... Don't hate!😣 I just have a lot going on!
