I had a friend, was a big base ball player, back in high school. He could throw that speedball by you, make you look like a fool boy. Saw him the other night at this roadside bar, I was walking in, he was walking out. We went back inside had a few drinks, but all he kept talking about, glory days well they'll pass you by, Glory days, in the wink of a young girls eye, Glory days, Glory days.

(Veronica's POV)
You know that feeling you get when you stand in front of you bedroom mirror and look at yourself in a black and red cap and gown and knowing that you're off to your graduation? Probably not. But I was pretty nervous.
"Come on we still have to pick some people up." Klaus said standing in the doorway.
"Isn't it crazy that we're still technically high schoolers?" I asked as I turned around to look at him.
"Yeah that is crazy. You know what else is crazy. Char, if we're late." He said.
"Alright, alright, I'm coming." I grabbed my keys and headed to the car. We now had one more car. A bigger one so when ever we decided to go places with all our friends, and there was enough room for every one. Then we had my car and Klaus's car. Those were our own personal cars and we could use it to take 3 of our other friends.
Now we had places to be and people to see. We needed to pick up Luke, Char, Kole, Zaiden, Drew, Zöe, Bri, and Mike. The car was basically a truck with a truck bed in the back, so everyone just piled into there, and that left me and Klaus in the front.
"Still no word on Ian?" I asked.
"No."
A little over a month ago Ian had went to rehab for his alcohol and drug abuse. He said that he was able to attend high school there and would probably be able to make it back in time to be here and receive his diploma, but since then no one has heard from him, not even him mom or dad.
After picking everyone up, I pulled up in front of the school. Everyone hopped out the car and we made our way to the doors. Zaiden and Zöe went to go sit down with all our parents seeing as they weren't graduating.
"Klaus! Mike!" We heard a voice exclaim.
We turned towards the source and there was Ian in his cap and gown.
"Ian!" Mike and Klaus exclaimed and ran towards him to give Ian a hug. A couple of minutes after there "bro-fest", he finally came over and gave the rest if the group hugs, and for the people he didn't know all that well like Char and Kole, he gave them hand shakes. I was glad to see that there was no awkward tension in the air between Luke and Ian. I admit it took me a while to forgive him, because he did break Luke's heart, but even Luke was working hard on getting over him, so why hold a grudge?
"Klaus, Veronica!" Principle Beers rushed up to us, sweaty and out of breath.
"The ceremony is about to start. Take your seats in alphabetical order. And Luke, my boy, come with me, it's almost time to give your speech and you will be the first student to receive you diploma. Oh and Ian, great to see you back." He guided Luke over to the side of the stage, where he would wait for Mr. Beers to introduce him.
I sat down in my assigned seat and waited for the ceremony to start.

(Luke's POV)
Nervously, I checked my note cards that held my speech to make sure that they were in the right order. I know I shouldn't be nervous, I'm probably the closest thing this school has to interesting. But this was more than just my friends and classmates. It was my classmates friends and family, a whole auditorium of them.
