12:57 p.m.

"Honey, why are you dressing up?"
Jun's mother asked when she caught him before she walked past his open door.

Jun smiled when he remembered why he was dressing up.
"I have a date, mom."
He chuckled like a girl when seeing his mother smile.

Her smile faded.
"Who is it with?"
Her voice laced with concern for her son.

"A guy at my school."

"A boy?"

"Yes, mom."
Jun could feel his heart in his throat. The air was thick and he could barely breathe. He didn't tell his mom much of his love life. She only knew that he dated a couple of girls.

"So, are you bisexual?"

"I think I'm gay, mom."

"I fucking knew it."

"What?"

"Your father owes me $30."

"Mom, you placed a bet on me?"

"That's not important. At least your date will be an upgrade from that bitch you brought last time. Bye, love, have fun."
His mother gave him a kiss on the cheek before leaving him frozen in his spot.

'Wow, mothers really do have an instinct on these things.'

Jun went back to getting ready. He took a shower, dried his hair, put on his outfit, and had a small snack.

1:46 p.m.

"I'm going to head out, Mom. Love you."
Jun yelled while grabbing his phone.

"Have fun! Love you too."
His mother yelled backed from the kitchen.

Jun went out and closed the door behind him.

'I'm so not ready.'
