Anatalia McCall

Derek had called me, telling me that he had a lead on the alpha and needed my help, so I agreed on him picking me up from my place.

Scott was out with Stiles, and aunt Mel was at work, so I don't have to worry about covering for myself as to why I'm going out with Derek Hale.

I finished my braids and heard his Camaro pull up to the front, making me quickly look myself over and grab my phone.

I slammed the door shut and swiftly walked to the awaiting Hale, sliding into the passenger seat wth a grin, "What do we got?"

The raven haired man bit his lip and pulled out of his spot, "I'll tell you later."

I frowned.

Why wasn't he letting me in?

Before I could complain, he pulled a piece of paper out of his jacket pocket and tossed it in my lap.

"Have you seen this yet?"

Unfolding the paper, my eyes scanned the picture of a dead deer with a very familiar symbol carved into its side.

My breath caught in my throat and I swallowed thickly, "Wh-What the hell? Where'd you get this? When did this happen?"

Derek didn't take his eyes off the road but I saw his jaw clench as his hands tightened over the wheel, "I-I found it in Laura's stuff."

The subject was ended then, neither of us caring to elaborate further.

The roads began to seem all too familiar the longer we drove.

I looked around and saw the sign of Beacon Hills' Animal Clinic.

"Derek.. What are we doing here?"

Derek ignored me and shut off the engine, swinging his door open.

I followed closely behind him as he walked with purpose to the front door, "Derek- what the hell is goi- Derek!"

I finally gripped the back of his jacket and pushed him against the building, a frown creasing my forehead while he glared at me.

"Ana-"

"No! What the hell are we doing here, Derek? The clinic? Seriously? Either you tell me what's going on now, or I'm walking home."
