Anatalia McCall

Melissa McCall... It can't be..

That's so not right.

The three of us crammed in Stiles' Jeep, me taking the back in a rush as we drove to the hospital.

I should be at the game, doing my job- coaching, but this was more important.

I felt for Stiles.
He'd finally made first line and he's gonna miss it.

"Did you get the necklace?" Stiles asked Scott over the phone as we parked in the parking lot of the hospital.

I had my head between the seats to listen in, hearing my cousin sigh. "Yeah, it doesn't have anything on it."

I cut in "Look on the back. Does it have anything engraved into it?"

"Ana's right." Derek stated, earring a small smile from me before my cousin groaned.

"No. it's flat. Nothing." He grumbled before taking to Stiles again, "Where are you, dude? You're first line!"

Stiles stared down at his steering wheel looking defeated as he sighed. "I-I know, okay? Look, if you see my dad, tell him I'm sorry. Tell him I'll be there."

"If you don't come soon, you won't be first line-"

"I know!" Stiles lost his patience "I've gotta go, man." He said softer before hanging up, throwing his phone onto his lap angrily.

Derek raised his brow, stating, "You're not gonna make it."

Stiles glared "I know."

Derek continued "And you didn't tell him about his mom, either."

It was my turn to grumble. "Not until we're sure."

Derek nodded to at me, feeling sorry for me, obviously, before turning his attention back to the younger boy, glaring harshly.

"Oh, and one more thing." He stated, not giving the boy enough time to question him before Derek grabbed the back of his head and slammed his face into the steering wheel.

"Ow! What the hell-"

"You know what that was for! Go!"
