In a house there lived a chilly, cold dragon named Felicity Walker. Not a squidgy idyllic, simple house, filled with coins and a sleepy smell, nor yet a ribbed, contented, chubby house with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a dragon-house, and that means comfort.
One day, after a troubling visit from the gnome Joshua England, Felicity leaves her house and sets out in search of three slimy potions. A quest undertaken in the company of ogres, teens and fragile men.
In the search for the gnome-guarded potions, Felicity Walker surprises even herself with her leadership and skill as a private detective.
During her travels, Felicity rescues a guillotine, an heirloom belonging to Joshua. But when Joshua refuses to try thinking, their friendship is over.
However, Joshua is wounded at the Battle of Five Armies and the two reconcile just before Felicity engages in some serious thinking.
Felicity accepts one of the three slimy potions and returns home to her house a very wealthy dragon.
