Trapped 05 End

The quartet were now back in Shi's room.

"What happened?" Ka Suo asked, looking at Xing Jiu.

Xing Jiu saw the shattered crystal. He sighed. "We reached the limit of the crystal."

Huang Tuo and Li Luo just stood there listening to the two. They were processing what they had seen.

"But we've seen enough haven't we?" Huang Tuo said, making the three look at him.

The three then looked at each other.

Ka Suo massaged his temple. "Shi..." he said looking at his sleeping brother.

Ka Suo smiled sadly. "I couldn't imagine how Shi must have felt every time that he had to fight her."

Xing Jiu, Huang Tuo and Li Luo stared at the wall. It must have been hell, they thought. To pretend that you hate someone but in reality you love and long for that person...

They couldn't help but admire and respect Shi though. He stood by their side even if it was probably tearing him apart in the inside.

"He's having a happy dream but we have to wake him up." Ka Suo decided. I'm sorry, Shi but we need you here.

Xing Jiu nodded in understanding. "There's only one way to wake him up...but it would hurt him emotionally."

"What is it?" Ka Suo inquired.

"To turn his wonderful dream into a nightmare." Xing Jiu answered.

Ka Suo cursed at that. He gritted his teeth. "Do it."

"You three need to stand back. We don't know how strongly he'll react to what I'll do."

Following what Xing Jiu said, Huang Tuo, Ka Suo and Li Luo were now standing as far as they could from the bed. Xing Jiu then took his position.

He then concentrated, giving his all. The room glowed. You could see Xing Jiu's energy going into Shi's body.

Not a moment later, the room pulsed reacting to the strong energy Shi emitted. They also heard his shout. It was full of pain and despair. "No! Yan Da!" He screamed. He was sobbing.

Huang Tuo, Li Luo and Ka Suo felt their heart break. Suddenly, Xing Jiu was on the floor and Shi's eyes were wide open.

Huang Tuo went to Xing Jiu immediately. Ka Suo and Li Luo went to Shi's side.

Shi was still crying. His eyes full of utter hopelessness.

"Shi?" Ka Suo asked hesitantly.

"G-ge?" Shi asked. Ka Suo felt his heart ached. His brother sounded so broken. Coming closer, he hugged him. "It's okay Shi. It was just a dream."

Looking at the others in the room, he silently dismissed them.

The three nodded. They're glad that the younger Prince is awake but at the same time they felt sad and guilty.

Days had passed. The group decided to keep what they have seen to themselves. Shi also acted as if nothing happened.

Though sometimes, they caught him just staring at the horizon. His expression very solemn.

So, the group talked among themselves and decided to take a break in the human realm. Maybe the vacation would cheer Prince Shi up.

So far, they were enjoying themselves. There were a lot of things after all to see and explore in the human realm. Even, Prince Shi was smiling happily.

It was already night time when they finished exploring. All of them were happily walking back when suddenly Princess Yan Da was slumped in front of them.

"Ow!" the fire princess said. "I shouldn't have drunk all of those wine."

"Princess Yan Da?" Xing Jiu said.

Hearing her name, Yan Da faced them. "Huh? Tsk. Meeting you guys when I didn't even plan to. Whatever, just pretend you didn't see me."

She was about to leave when she caught Ying Kong Shi's eyes. She moved towards him. Holding his chin, she asked. " What's wrong? Did something happen? You look like you're about to cry Ying Kong Shi?"

In an instant, Shi was hugging her. Yan Da was shocked but she hugged him back. Something must have happened. She knew he wouldn't do this normally especially in front of others. So she just hugged him back, comforting him.

The group watched them. They smiled. It seems like the fire princess returned their young Prince's affections. Even though, in the future they know that it was inevitable for the two to face each other again in the battle field.

They would let them have this moment, wishing deeply in their hearts that the two would somehow have their happy ending despite the fact that they're enemies.
