Standing outside a muggle cafe, Draco sighed. Things could not get any worse. He had just been sacked from his job.
Him.
Draco Malfoy.
Sacked.
Fired.
Goodbye.
Au revoir.
Adiós.Also, he was about to go inside a muggle cafe. To drink a muggle drink. To be served by a muggle. He would never live this down.
Bracing himself, Draco pushed the door open and stepped in.
He just stood there, eyes closed and holding his breath. It wasn't until he felt a tap on his shoulder that he realised how stupid he must be looking whilst the man behind him squeezed past.
Walking up to the counter, Draco was overwhelmed by the strong coffee smell. He was used to the stench of this foul beverage by now, though. Arthur Weasley, head of his department at the Ministry- sorry head of his former department- practically lived off the stuff in the morning.
A woman with the most disgusti- exotic hair smiled the biggest, most terrifying smile Draco had ever seen.
"Hey there, what can I get you today?"Draco glanced at the menus above him. They were almost a different language. What the hell was a 'Starbuck's special'?
"How about an apple frappuccino, hun?"
"A frappu-what now?"
"Frappuccino. Apple's our new flavour. I'll take that as a yes then, um.."
"Draco."
He turned away to find a seat before this mystery drink was prepared.
Shortly, he heard that same phoney woman call out
"Dracoooooo!"
She handed him a freezing drink in exchange for some muggle coins. The drink was surprisingly nice, considering it was made by a muggle.
It was soothing. Apples were a nice taste. They calmed him. Apples seemed to be the only thing that didn't judge him.
Apples were nice.
