Stressed out - Twenty One Pilots 💀
_______
Nothing in life is constant, excluding God and his Word.
The inconsistency of people, actions, words or feelings can be a pain in the neck or heart. You decide.

One minute, everything is butterflies, rainbows and cotton candy. (AN ; Those things are truly Heavenly, and unhealthy)
While the next minute might feel like the devil himself is out to get your soul. Come to think of it, when is he not out to get your soul anyway?

You know what, I'm digressing.
Exactly a week ago, I arrived on campus with the hopes that I'd familiarize myself with the schools grounds and maybe get myself involved with some extra curricular activities before actual classes started.

But alas, I spent my days familiarizing myself with most of the food places on and around campus. Don't judge me, leave that for God.

To sum it up, I spent my whole week either in bed, eating or talking to my friends and family from back home. I didn't go to church on Sunday because I was yet to find a church for myself.

Why am I boring you with all of this unimportant information? Well, let me update you on my current dilemma.

I was currently five minutes late for my first class in college. Smooth, very smooth indeed.
Why? Because I was the worst at decoding maps and the week that was set apart for getting to know the campus better was spent rather carelessly.

I looked at the map once again and internally groaned. I found the school map highly confusing. How was I supposed to navigate my way if the map made it look like the school was a treasure island?

Okay, I can do this. I looked up and before me was a science building with a couple of students loitering around. I decided to ask for help from one of the students.

As I got closer to the students, I started thinking of which student looked most approachable until I spotted the familiar black hair of Hallway boy. Thank heavens!

Great, he was with a couple of friends so if he decided to be rude, of which I had a strong feeling he will be. They might be able to help me out of my self inflicted problem.

As I moved closer to them I said a small prayer asking God that hallway boy and his friends don't share the same personality. This day might end up tragically if they all shared one personality.

I silently observed the four people around hallway boy as my feet guided me closer to them.

There was three boys, hallway boy included and a girl. They were all standing under the shade of a tree.
The girl was about 5'7 with mid length brown hair. She was physically beautiful.
From my observations, I guessed her age to be around nineteen.

She had a serious look on her face and seemed to be admonishing the three boys.
Hallway boy looked like he didn't care.

The second boy, with his blonde hair, pale white skin and broad frame seemed to be paying attention.

While the third boy, sporting a buzz cut black hair, dark brown skin and lean frame was staring at the girl with adoration filled eyes. Interesting.

As soon as I was directly in front of them, the girl noticed me and gave me a small smile. Hallway boy  raised a brow at me as if he was saying ' What do you want again?'
While the other two boys appeared to be puzzled.

I cleared my throat subtly as I knew my voice had the tendency to disappoint me when I needed it the most. Pretty sure I wasn't the only one though.

"Um, I'm so sorry if I am intruding in anyway. But I seem to have lost my way and I'm kinda late for my class" I said choosing my words carefully.

The nameless girl was about to talk when hallway boy gave her a look that I translated to mean ' Shut up, I got this'
Was he this rude to all his friends?

He stretched out his left hand "Can I see your schedule?" he asked calmly. Well, that's a first.

I obediently placed it in his hand as he went over it with furrowed brows.
"What class do you have right now?" he asked without taking his eyes off the paper in his hand.

"Physics, it's says it on the schedule in your hand" I said with narrowed eyes

He looked up at me and rolled his eyes. Well, well, well
"Touche, but the map in your hands clearly shows you directions to your class so why won't you use it?" he dead panned

Without waiting for my response he gave me the directions to my class and I scurried along after a rushed thank you. His friends gave a small wave as I sprinted to my class.

I sneakily made my way into the class and found an empty seat at the back beside a pink haired girl and brought out writing materials. It looked like bubble gum kingdom exploded on her head.

"Hey!! Welcome to the worst class you'll take in your entire life" she said mockingly but the smile that graced her lips said otherwise.
She was friend material. I could tell.

I smiled back "Physics isn't all that bad" I said
Most people I knew detested physics but I found physics interesting. (AN : author personally thinks she is highly insane for this)

Pink haired girl frowned slightly
"Um, I don't think you're in the right class. This is a Quantitative methods in Economics class and it's about to end in.. Five minutes time"

As soon as I heard this my heart sank to be bottom of my stomach. I missed my first class because of some bitter boy I did a favor.

"Are you okay? I could show you around school if you'd like? When we're both free of course" Pink girl said with taking over her features

I smiled at her kindness "Yeah, I'll be fine. But I might have to take you up on that offer to give me a tour of the school" I said sheepishly

If there was anything I hated, it was making people inconvenient. I always felt bad about it which is why I was skeptical about her offer. I had to make sure she was really comfortable with the arrangement , instead of just out of politeness.

She beamed at me "Great!! Cool then. Just let me write my number down for you so you can call me when you're free. Don't hesitate to call, I'm free whenever you are"

Thank you Lord I thought. She was really God sent.
She handed me her number as she stood up and grabbed her bag.
"I'm Holly by the way, it was nice meeting you..."

"Revelation. The name is Revelation" I ended her sentence for her

She nodded and ran off

One extra point for hallway boy

I was so going to kill Hallway boy the next time I laid my eyes on him. That way he won't even be alive to gain extra points.
