"How was school Ari?" I ask my excited little sister. "It was awesome! I can spell January!" she announced happily.

"Really?! Spell it!" I was surprised by the little first grader when she spelled 'January'. "T-A-B-L-E" she says proudly. Really Ari? Table? "Um sweets, that spells table. Who taught you that?" I laugh. "I heard it somewhere. I guess it's wrong?" She is just too cute. With her big grassy green eyes a bit like mine. Light brown hair that always waved down and jumped around with her. Her little smile that makes everyone happy just by looking at her.

"Yes, but your still cute." I say as she jumps onto the house porch and I unlock the door.

"MOMMY! Guess what, I can spell table! T-A-B-L-E." she screeches, leaping into my mothers arms. "Wow sweetie that's great! Nice job!"

"Hi Mom," I say, kissing her cheek. "Hey Orion, how was school?" she asks, putting Ari into a chair and preparing her afternoon snack. "It was good. Later I'm going to hang out with a friend."

"And what 'friend' is this again?" she catches me yet again. "Scott Hedges, the one I went on a date with. We're probably just going to get something to eat and hang out." I let out. But I hope we can do more. Ew, Orion. Not that way, nasty. So wrong, so wrong.

"Okay but please behave and be home by-"

"Nine o'clock! Got it." I cut her off. I walk to my room and get started on my homework.

Ding! I hear the doorbell ring and run down stairs. I was wearing a white, wide-sleeve cut t-shirt and light blue shorts. I let my dark hair out and combed nicely. I slipped on my white converses and opened the door. There stands a very hot, smiling Scott Hedges.

"Hi."

"Hello." I say, hugging and inviting him in.

"Mom, Dad, this is Scott, my...friend." I hesitate to tell my parents. They smile and shake his hand. My father raises an eyebrow at him. I make a glare at him but he goes on.

"So Scott, how's it going in school?" he asks suspiciously. "Oh, um, it's mostly doing well, Sir." Scott chokes out nervously. My dad nods and sits back down to read the email on his laptop. I smile and glare at Scott but his face is expressionless.

"Well, lately you two have been together a little, how's that going?" my mother says. I don't know what possessed her to say it but I feel like stabbing both my parents in the chest thirty-seven times for asking these things. It just feels awkward.

"Yeah Mom, we're just hanging out. We're going now, later!" I announce. "I'll be home soon." I can hear my mother sigh as Scott and I walk out the front door. "Be safe!"

"Wow, that was exhausting. Sorry Scott." I explain to him. "It's okay, as long as it doesn't have to happen again."

He takes my hand in his and directs me to his motorcycle. Oh great, just another thing to worry about. I already was afraid of where he was taking me but now I guess I can die before knowing anything.

"Um, Scott. I don't know if you realized it yet but I'm not so fond of death by two wheeled transportation so I'll just walk after you, but thanks." I quickly said. "Oh no, no. Don't worry, I got you covered." he said, taking out a small helmet, one without the big shield in front. It was blue and decorated with beautiful colors of the sky and the clouds it holds. The melting sun over the ocean. The view we shared last night. It must have powerful meaning to him.
