The Will

I was on my bed thinking about what Chase said I knew He liked me but I thought all those feelings died but I was happy He still liked me. I pulled off my jacket and my hands brushed the pocket of the jacket and I felt a note there

To my dearest teddy, Sally
Hope you like the nickname if you are wondering how this note got here I wrote it when you went to the ladies. Thanks for coming and being with me
P.s I really really like you I know I don't have a chance but I hope you like me too
P.s.s Am still very sorry about our first meeting godnight and hope you dream of me

I reread the the note wow two confession in one day i feel special.
I looked at my alarm it was 8:30 I to need to get some shut eye, I folded the note carefully and kept it, I couldn't help but feel butterflies flutter in my stomach I didn't know if it was Chase or Dante confession.

"Sally eat up don't forget that you are going to the law firm today" aunt sarah said during breakfast

Today was the day I'll know about my father's will,  I was a little bit scared.

I wore my light knee lenght summer dress I had left my hair down and held it back with a clip my aunt had helped me with my makeup.

Uncle Mike drove us to the law firm and we entered the office
I didn't really know much about my father but what I knew was that his death wasn't fair I never knew  how He died but if its possible I'll avenge it.

I heard my mother didn't die but was kidnapped but I was too young to understand I didn't attend any of their burials but they are both gone life isn't fair.

"Please Miss Sally take a seat" a man I assumed was my family lawyer said

"Thank you" I replied dragging the chair to sit uncle Mike took the other one

"Now Miss you are not yet of age because I believe you are 19 now right"

I noded in approval

"And your father requested that you must be 20 may his soul rest in peace"

"Amen " I murmed

"Well in his will the ranch is rightfully yours when you reach 20 but He said you can start handling it by 19 if his guardian
Over you approve"

"Well its alright because my uncle here will approve and I believe I can take care of the ranch" I said turning to my uncle

But his face dropped

"No Sally, its not Mike that his the guardian" He chuckled

"Then who is ...."

" Mr. James you requested to see me " a familiar voice interrupted me

"Yes Sherrif Chase I called for you"

Wait is it Chase that his my guardian

"This here is Miss Sally but I assume you guys have met so according to the will she needs your permission"

My heart stopped for  a second when He looked at me his appearance was alluring

"Chase I believe you know I can take of the ranch......."

"No Sally I disapprove you can't do it" He said interrupting me

"Wait what you have no right to disapprove because you are the Sherrif I only came back to do just that" I said rising from my seat to face him

"But matter of fact Sally, I do have the right and trust me its for your own good" He turned fully to me " and I doubt that's the only reason you came back"

What did He mean by that we now stood facing each other and his gaze dropped to my lips

"How is it for my own good I challenged back" not answering his second statement

"Because let me see they are some 'cowboys' that will try to win your heart just to get their hands on your fathers property"

I know He meant Dante did that really affect him

"Well Chase am not just a game and those 'cowboys' don't stand a chance" i said with my anger rising

His eyes held relief for a second

"And this discussion is officially over" I  stormed outside I couldn't leave properly because my legs decided to start hurting.
