Rancher's Love

I woke up the next day and the pain in my leg had slighlty reduced which left me with limping due to the drugs I took.

"Sally you need to rest today, and let that foot relax" Aunt viv said for the fifth time.

"Aunt I said am alright and I want to ride daphnie again" I whined

"You see mike this was my fear" Aunt viv complained to uncle Mike for the fifth time again

"Aunt its not his fault and by the way I must learn how to ride daphnie" I stood up and limped to the porch I still heard my aunt grumbling inside

I took a seat on the big seater and just watched what was happening
I was lost in my thoughts but was brought back to reality when I heard a rider galloping towards our ranch.

I was glad thinking it was Chase but my expression dropped when I saw Dante
He rode and came to a halt outside I got up to leave but He jumped off his horse to stop me

"Hey Sally please don't go am sorry" He apologized  I turned back and looked at him fully I was surprised when I saw his hands He held some beautiful flowers.

"Here these are for you" He said handing it to me
Now I feel scared why his He being nice all of a sudden and his group aren't with him

"Why are you being nice to me I don't like you, you're trouble" I replied too harshly
His expression dropped but He looked up and smirked

"I know have been a jerk but please accept these they are freshly picked"
The flowers where truly beautiful
I looked at his expression and his eyes held sincerity well its true people change.

"Thanks" I said collecting it "but please leave if........"

"What are you doing here" my aunt snapped when she saw Dante
"He was..." I stammered

"I was just leaving" He said helping me out of my stammering with that He got on his horse and rode off.

"Hope He didn't touch you" my aunt asked protectively

"No He didn't am fine " I replied I had manage to hide the bouquet
" alright dear lunch will be ready soon" she replied a smile resuming her lips "if you need anything tell me"
She then entered the house

I grabbed the roses and sniffed them they actually smelt nice it was then I noticed a paper sticking

To my dearest Sally
I hope you love the flowers thanks for accepting them if you wanna talk with me meet me at old country barn at 4 I'll be waiting

The letter left me contemplating to go of not He has given me many reason not to trust him but these rose shows he's begging for forgiveness well if my legs aren't any better I won't go I finally decided

"Hmm I enjoyed every bit" I said commenting on aunt sarah recipe

"Am glad you enjoyed it Sally" she replied and smiled

"Yum Sarah this is one thing I love about you, you are a wonderful cook" Uncle Mike said

"Mike I know even if I cook a rat you would still enjoy it" she said teasing him back

It was 3:35 and I was feeling a lot better well I have to go but should I tell Chase I contemplated if I tell him he would stop me  and I had already decided to give him a chance.

I wore my dark blue  jeans and my favourite crop top I grabbed my jacked and wore my designer boots

"Aunt viv am going out for a stroll I'll be back soon" I quickly left not waiting for her reply

I started up the road, old country barn wasn't so far and I got there just as the time turned 4:00 I looked around and spotted him with his eyes already on me I gave him a small smile.

"Hey Sally you're just on time thanks for coming" He said smiling
"you're Dante right" I asked and He noded in confirmation "I really don't have time so tell me what you want to tell me"

"Well at least let's take a sit" He said pointing at a table "but first let me help you with your jacket"

I slowly gave it to him and He hanged it up both of us then walked over to the table He rushed over to my side and pulled my chair out for me

"Thank " I said  giving him a small smile He then sat down across from me
"Sally sorry for being a jerk the first time we met, I didn't know  you passed through a lot" He began
