It was only 8 am and I was already up and at the stables. I was gonna try to bond with hope today, hopefully getting some help from the trainer dad had hired to help with the other horses. He was supposed to be at work by one so I had some time before I met the guy.
I put some grain into a bucket and bring it to Hope's stall. Somehow the other workers had already gotten her in the stall before I got there.

I was about 4 feet from the stall door when Hope started rearing up and freaking out, I don't get any closer. I don't show any fear as I look at her, knowing that it might stress her out even more.

I back away a few feet and hope seems to calm down a little, but I can tell she's still not relaxed.

"I got you some food" I say softly, near whisper. "I can't give it to you from over here"   He makes a small noise and I take a small step towards him. I look back over too her, she watches me.

"I'm gonna take another step" I whisper, she still doesn't freak out. I keep going at this pace until I'm right by the stall door.

I let her sniff the grain before I carefully pour the it into the feeder.
"There you go" I whisper. She looks at me one last time before lowering her head and start eating, I don't leave but instead watch her.
"See not so bad" I whisper. Once she finishes her grain she looks back up to me. I make a daring move and bring my hand up to the stall....
