My hand reaches out and just as I start to touch her, she once again begins to freak out. I stumble backwards and fall to the ground. Scooting back away from her then proceeding to get up. I sigh, her still freaking out.
"I guess I leave you alone for a little bit" I half whisper, making my way to another barn.
When I get there I see a stablemen, around my age, feeding one of the horses a carrot out of his hand. I slowly walk over to him.
"What's her name?" I ask he doesn't look over to me .
"Shadow" the stableman answers
"And you?" I ask "what's your name?"
He waits a minute then answers.
"Luke" he says
I stand there awkwardly.
"Can I ride her?" I ask he finally turns around and looks at me.
"Is she your horse?" He asks sarcastically, I'm a little taken back.
"...technically yes, she's my dads" I state. He sighs.
"Kyah or Cat?" He asks
"Kyah how did yo..." I begin he cuts me off
"Your mr. Berry's daughter." He says simply
"Yeah..."
"I'll get the horse ready..." he says annoyed "I'll go get you a saddle"
