Chapter 1: You Have a Niece?

Henry's POV:

"Hey guys, what goes on....?" I asked as I entered Junk-N-Stuff one Saturday afternoon. I was bored at home. dad went out to play his Saturday golf, Piper was at a sleepover with her friends, and finally my mom was getting her hair done.

There was no way I was going to stay home by myself with nothing to do, so I decided to see what Ray was up to. When I got there, he was literally running around the place, I think he was actually cleaning.

"Schwoz, did you place those vases back on the shelf?!"
"Yes I did. I even dusted them too." Schwoz rolled his eyes. "Well, dust them again! Everything HAS to be perfect before she comes!"

Schwoz sighed annoyed and went in the back to get some more cleaning supplies.

"Hey Ray, what's the big rush? Is the president coming for inspection or something?" I teased, laughing at my joke.

"No," he said in a 'duh' tone. "My niece is coming to town for the first time and I've never met her before so I want the place to be perfect for when she gets here!" My eyes grew wide, I took in the statement I just heard.

"Whoa whoa whoa. Ray...you have a niece? How come you never told me?"
"Because I never knew either! Well until three days ago, when my sister texted me that she's dropping her off to live with me in the Man Cave." He explained while fixing things on the shelves and cleaning like, everywhere.

"You have a sister??" I question again. 2 years, and I can't believe he never told me this stuff. He nodded annoyed. "Look, yes. But it's a very complicated reason why she's coming to stay here. So you're either staying here to help me out, or you can leave. I really can't use any distractions right now!"

I honestly felt bad for Ray. I have never seen him so stressed out like this before. I decided to just stay and help him out, after all, nothing better was going on at home anyway.

We cleaned the whole store plus the Man Cave. I was exhausted and it was only 5:30. "So...I never really got a full explanation," I say as I sit down on the couch. "Why is she coming here? Your niece I mean?"

Ray seemed to freeze up every time I asked. "Because...I don't know. I don't know if I'm allowed to tell you yet," he ran his hands through his hair and began to pace around the floor.

"Come on man!" I protested. "I'm your sidekick! I should be able to know." He looked at me then shrugged. "Ok, fine Henry. It's because--" suddenly he got interrupted by his phone going off.

He then looked worried at me. "She's here." We then both ran up to Junk-N-Stuff, I answered the door.

"Hi...Uncle Ray? I'm Jules, your niece."
