Chapter 6: A True love's Kiss

"Henry!! What are you talking about?! Captain Man isn't here right now, even though I really wish he was!" I then saw Uncle Ray exchange nervous glances with Charlotte.

"Uh, actually Jules...." Charlotte began, awkwardly rubbing the back of her neck. "This is a really awkward time to tell you this," my uncle said. "But, I'm Captain Man."

I stared in complete shock, taking in what I had just heard. "Y-you're Captain Man?!"

"That's right!" Henry laughed. "But he won't be anymore, once I'm through with him." Henry smirked beginning to walk towards Uncle Ray, who backed up afterwards. "Kid, I know you're in there somewhere! This isn't the real you! Don't do this Henry!"

I am super confused right now. So, my uncle is Captain Man.....does that mean Henry is Kid Danger??? Henry stopped for a second, as if he hesitated, then snapped back again. "Nice try, old man! This is who I am now!" Henry smirked pointing to himself.

This had to stop, right now! I stepped in between the two of them. "Henry!" I took off his sunglasses and stared him in the eyes. "Jules, let them handle it! It could be dangerous!" Charlotte warned.

"Yeah Jules, this is really not the time for you to be helping right now," Uncle Ray added, looking at me with fear. "Henry," I say again, completely ignoring them. He's my crush. Yes, I admit it. I have to help him, of course.

Henry narrowed his eyes. "Get out of the way," he scowled. "I don't want you getting hurt." I think he mumbled the last part, but I wasn't totally sure.

I stepped in front of him once more. "Maybe this will snap you out of it...hopefully," I pulled him in gently for a deep kiss, lasting about 10 seconds.

He blinked for a second after, then looked at me as if he didn't know who I was. "Jules??" He looked around the Man Cave, then at Uncle Ray. "Henry?" He asked, cautiously stepping up to his sidekick.

"Are you ok?"
"What-what happened?" He rubbed his eyes, then placed the palm of his hand against his head as if he were in pain. "You were brainwashed," Charlotte commented from the back of the room.

Henry continued to stare puzzled. "Brainwashed? What? How?"
"It was my fault kid." My uncle sighed. "When you were on your date with Jules, the emergency alarm went off. Doctor Minyak was causing trouble at Swellview Park with Drex, and I came too late. I realized I left some important weapons that I would've needed back here in the Man Cave, and by the time I came back, you and them were gone."

"Uncle Ray, it wasn't your fault," I assured, to try and lighten the mood of everyone. "Yes, it was. I'm sorry I let you down Henry." He sighed annoyed. "Ray, it wasn't your fault ok? It was mine. I should've been more alert when they came. I was honestly more focused on meeting back with Jules," he said the last part quietly when he saw me stop in my tracks.

I turned around so he couldn't see my face and blushed as I grabbed my water bottle.

Strangely though, as I began to drink it, the water slowly froze into ice. I paused, putting down the water bottle. That's....weird. "Uhh, guys?" I say worriedly, getting both their attention, lifting up my hands which now had snowflakes and ice swirling around, kind of like Elsa from Frozen had.

"I think we might have bigger problems..."
                               ***
-Back in the lair-
"What is going on?!" Doctor Minyak questioned annoyed as he watched through the cameras that were placed in Henry's tracker.

"Has he destroyed Captain Man and the girl yet?" Drex glared at him. "Yeah, they're totally destroyed. I mean look at them all, talking together. I think he did an excellent job," he responded sarcastically, rolling his eyes.

Minyak returned a dirty glare. "Idiot! Don't use sarcasm against me!" His lips then curled into an evil smile as he began to come up with a new plan, pointing to Jules on the screen. "Change of plans. Tomorrow night, get the girl..."
