Jerome POV~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Do you think she's going to be okay?" I ask Mary Kate as I watch Alex grab a bottle of water.

"She's strong and independant. I think that's her fatal flaw." Mary Kate answers.

"Explain."

"Well," she begins. "Independance might be her fatal flaw because she won't accept help. Independance is great in some aspects, but when it comes to life and death, independance is one of the things you might not need if you have true friends." 

This young lady is very wise. She might be a rebirth from one of the munks.

"You are quite correct." I reply nodding. Mary Kate turns to me.

"I have to teach you how to teach normally, bro." Mary chuckles. "You are going to annoy the crap out of me." I chuckle with her.

"What you doods talkin' about?" Alex jumps in.

"Talkin' 'bout Jerome learnin' how to talk normal." Mary Kate explains.

"Dats right, MK." giggles Alex.

"You people are the strangest people I have met in my lifetime." I shake my head, smiling.

Alex's eyes widen. She looks around. "Where's Connor and Mitch? I don't feel them anywhere."

"What do you mean, Alex?" Mary Kate's eyes furrow.

"I mean," says Alex. "They've been gone for a while and aren't around for 10 miles." She begins to panic.

She rushes out the front door and runs. Mary Kate and I run after her. I grab her arm, stopping her.

"What the hell are you doing?" Mary Kate yells/asks.

Alex takes deep breathes. "The Equalists. They have Connor and Mitch."
