Chapter 2

Alex POV

Jerome, huh? Cool name. I'll look for him later.

I'm gonna learn water bending first because it seems the calmest. I decide to walk home and watch the entire series of Avatar The last Airbender 'cause I found out it was based on a true story so I decided I'm just gonna follow how Avatar Aang learned water bending.

I went outside my house with a cup of water. I place it on the ground and concentrate. I move my arms with grace and peacefulness. The water started rising from the cup and I smile.

YES! Im doing it! I make the water cover my head and here comes Connor again.

He pops up right behind me and pokes my back. I jump and a piece of the earth follows me 5 feet in the air and I get drenched by my own water.

I retreat myself back onto the ground and hear Connor say, "You were born from a tribe of earthbenders. You are very powerful."

I blush and start twirling my wet and soaked hair.

I've liked Connor for a pretty long time now, but no one has a clue. Well except Mary Kate.

I know he doesn't like me back considering he is dating Ashley Marie, a non-bender at our school.

He smiles and begins to show me the proper way to earthbend.

"Okay, so first, you have to learn the proper stance," Connor says. "Hum, try imagining a sumo wrestler about to fight another. Show me how they usually stand."

I growl and stomp me feet on the ground with so much force, the earth around me lifts up and falls back down.

Connor laughs and begins to lecture me about everything else. I blanked out half way.

Once he thought I got the basics down, be began playing catch... With rocks.... I toss a pebble to him, he tosses it back.

Then I toss the same rock back and he lift a huge boulder and throws it at me.

Well that escalated quickly...

It heads right at me... Let's just say, I wasn't prepared for that...
