Akayla's POV

I walked through the halls and to my locker when Kathy and Andie gave me the news....

"Akayla!" Kathy screamed. "Hey!"

Me, Andie and Kathy had a friendly group hug and we started talking over each other. Kathy and Andie had been absent for the past two days, I texted them over and over again begging them to tell me where they were, but they said they had to be there in person to give me some 'big news.' "So what's up guys? What was soooo important that you had to skip school for two days huh?"

"O-M-G!!!" Kathy screamed. "We sooo had to tell you about that!"

"Yeah, we've been working something out and....drum roll please!" Andie requested. Kathy started pounding on the locker next to me. "I landed us four FIRST CLASS TICKETS TO NEW YORK FOR THE HALLOWEEN FESTIVAL!!!"

We all screamed in delight. First Class?!?! "HOW DID YOU GET FIRST CLASS!?!?" Is this real?!? Am I dreaming?

"I know what you're thinking Akayla!" Kathy squealed. "I would never lie on first class. And also-Andie knows a guy."

"And that 'guy' is Harley from Science! Harley is coming as the fourth person, in terms of agreement." Andie said.

"Harley? as in Harley O'Reiley? I thought he was going to a different junior high!" I remembered Harley from elementary. He was a quiet person until about the 6th grade; something just snapped I guess and he started to become more outgoing. He played basketball with kids that used to tease him until he cried. He made friends and soon rose to a semi-popular stage, the 'cool kids' hated him as though nothing had changed. And speaking of cold-hearted kids-here comes the main squad. Madison & Mackie, a.k.a M&M. They were BFFs since kindergarten and used their friendship for evil.

Madison's dad is a multi-millionare business mogul. Mackie's mom is a supermodel. Ever since they met in kindergarten they have caused nothing but trouble. In 6th grade they got much more devious, they offered the talented kids friendship and in the end they faded into the background and just became one of their backup friends and servants. I shuddered at the thought.

"Hey, aren't you the weirdo who kept talking to herself the other day?" Mackie snorted at me. "Seriously, I can't believe we go to the same junior high as you guys!"

"I know right?" Madison looked at us in disgust.

"FYI Minnie and Mickey, I was with Harley yesterday; but you probably couldn't see him through the forest of dead trees you call eyebrows!" I nailed that comeback!

"Who's Harley?" Mackie and Madison looked confused for a moment, but then they marched away with the haughtiness that their parents gave them.

"They're just pretending that they don't know him." Andie glared after them.

"Yeah c'mon, brunch is lasting way too long so-" Kathy started, but she was cut off by the bell, the signal to get to our classes.

"You always jinx it!" Andie shoved Kathy playfully, we all laughed and went to Science. We were lucky enough to be put in one class all together.

I was still going over Mackies' word on the way to Science, was she just being ignorant? Or was it some other reason?

Mackie's POV

"Do you have any idea what those dorks were talking about?" I asked Madison.

"Nope, they were probably talking about one of their imaginary friends." Madison just shrugged it off. "And yes, I know there was a guy in elementary who had the same name as him. But he left for another school for 6th grade remember?"

"Yeah, it's probably just one of the imaginary fools forced to be their friends." I laughed with Madison, but an extra worrying thought nagged at the core of my brain. I went on a special app my mom gave me on my phone. It was a public record searcher, I looked up 'Harley O' Reiley.' One report came up: no criminal records, father and mother, straight A student; more boring stuff. I read the summary:

Harley was attending SeaCrest Elementary until the 5th grade. He-

*Shove*

"Hey watch it!" Logan spread his arms out. My backpack slipped a bit from the push but I shoved him my face, Madison stopped and had come back with her arms crossed. Logan's eyes widened, "Sorry M&M." 

He walked off with Chris and Christopher. Sniggering.

I rolled my eyes and walked to class with Madison.

Akayla's POV

*Shove*

I stumbled into the class after Andie and Kathy, I smashed into them and we all fell to the ground in a heap, we all looked up and feared for the worst: Logan and the Jerktourage.

Logan has been bullying us since the 4th grade, he got worse by the year. His famed 'jerktourage' was made up of Chris and Christopher, pretty funny coincidence; it wasn't so funny when they caught us laughing about it. The Jerktourage, crushing souls since they were born, it's only matter of time before their parents abandoned them. I looked around the classroom and surprisingly no one noticed the 3 teenagers sprawled on the floor, not even the teachers. It's funny, no one seems to notice things anymore, but I don't think I have the right to say something, everyone knows I have the attention span of a goldfish.

"Nice to see you too Logan." Andie got up and brushed the dirt off her knees, Kathy and I did the same.

"Heard you girls screaming in the hall, what's the matter? Did your Jacob Sartorius concert tickets finally come in?" Logan snickered.

"Jacob Sartorius ewww!" Kathy wrinkled her nose.

"You shouldn't be joking about this stuff Logan, you and Jacob have a lot in common." I prepared my roast. "You're both fake, ugly, act too old for your age, dumb; and don't forget, have a bad taste in music and refuse to cut your hair!"

Logan growled and went to the other side of the room, Chris and Christopher followed, shoving me out of the way as they went.

"Jerks," I muttered, Kathy and Andie nodded in agreement.
