Akayla's POV

I heard static feed over the intercom, I woke to a rolling sky in front of me. I tried to move but everything in my body ached, I rolled my head to the side and lifted my weak eyelids.

I was on a stretcher, being loaded into an ambulance, I think. I was still in pain, I couldn't think straight; everything was blurry and unclear. I felt slight rumbling as the ambulance thundered off to the hospital, the noises were pounding in my ears like an enraged storm goddess..... wait, storm goddess?

Where did that come from? I'm not a big fan of fantasies but myths and legends are in my zone. I rarely make any comments about this like 'storm goddess.' It usually just seems silly to me.

"Uhhhmmmm," I mumbled, I wanted to get up and stretch so badly. The paramedics were bustling around the small space around my stretcher, I examined the small bumps of metal on the roof, the whole situation becoming insanely boring for me.

Harley's POV

I rushed through the crowd, positive I wasn't seen. Well, not by everyone.

"I-have-to-get-there-before-it's-too-late." I told myself between straining breaths before they take her.

But I knew it was too late when I heard the single siren's wail fade away, taking with it the only hope in the entire universe of any good in the world.

She was being taken away to him.

Andie's POV

"That doesn't make any sense, Kath." I scratched my head, thinking. "Why would anyone want to kidnap Akayla at her own school? They could've just waited to when she would be walking home, alone; this is just a prank. Probably M&M or Logan and the Jerktourage."

"You make them sound like band names." Kathy chuckled, then winced in pain. I rolled my eyes; how could she joke at a time like this? Our best friend is missing for goodness sake!

I was passed by a huffing Harley, he was jostling people out of his way to get to the front of the crowd, no one noticed or yelled at him.

"HARLEY!!!" I shouted over the roar of the crowd. "WHERE ARE YOU GOING?!?!?"

It was as if he didn't hear me; he ran on with the speed of Usain Bolt and Florence Griffith-Joyner combined, I've never seen him run so fast. I looked to my left and saw Kathy hunched over, covering her ears.

"Jesus, woman," Kathy cringed. "Harley was only a few feet away, not in England!"

"Sorry...." I apologized. I looked back to where Harley was, I couldn't see him. I heard the last wail of the ambulance siren fade away. Calming myself, I thought about Kathy's statement; was it possible everyone was knocked out because one target was needed? And was Akayla that target? How was Logan involved with this?

As these questions were running through my head, a force pushed me to the ground.

"Kathy!" I groaned. Thinking that she had pushed me to the ground.

But I was wrong, so wrong.
