chapter 16

Mesagi stopped in his tracks when he saw grunts in front of the armory.

He tried to rethink his strategies, before he saw Roman coming out of the armory with RNJR's weapons.

'Damn it. How do I get those back?' Mesagi thought, and after a while, he sighed and decided to follow Roman.

He waited and slowly started to follow Roman, while also trying to be sure he wasn't seen as suspicious.

He then saw Roman gave Ruby and Rens' weapons to the nearby grunts, and he smirked, his job getting slightly easier.

He then went to the grunts. "Hey. What're the weapons you got there?" He asked.

"These? Its the prisoners. I admit, they look awesome," one of them replied to him.

"Cool. Can I see?" Mesagi asked, and they let him, showing him the weapons.

He saw Ruby's sheathed scythe and Ren's dual pistols. "Cool," he said to them.

That was the grunts realised that he had two katanas. "Wait, w-" they were cut off when Mesagi quickly changed one of his katanas into an automatic shotgun, pulled the trigger.

This causes the grunts to be hit by the electrical pellets, and they were shocked and fainted.

He then grabbed their ammunition. He also held onto Ruby and Ren's weapons.

"Now I gotta follow Roman again," Mesagi muttered. ". . . Or just go to the prison cells and release them all."

Mesagi decided to take the latter, as he slowly walked to 'LL basement' wherever that was.

After taking out some grunts, he soon reached the lower level basement (he realised what LL meant along the way).

"Alright. . ." Mesagi used the darkness to his advantage. Strangely, it was as if there was no light at all.

"I swore the lights were on when I checked the cameras. Why is it dark now?" Mesagi muttered.

Mesagi then felt heat and saw light and he cursed silently. 'Cinder was here?! Crap!' He thought.

He didn't move at his position, just waiting, before seeing Cinder passing by him, and Mesagi's eyes slightly widened.

In the arm of Cinder, was Neo, who seemed to try and struggle out of Cinder's grip.

"Sorry, Neo. I'll get you out later," Messgi muttered, before sneaking away to RNJR's cells.

Once he got there, he changed his katanas into automatic shotguns and shot all the locks.

"RNJR. C'mon. I'm getting you guys outta here," Mesagi whispered out to them.

Once he saw everyone came out, he took a deep breath. "I only got Ren and Ruby's weapons. Sorry, Nora, Jaune," Mesagi said.

"It's okay, Mesagi," Jaune replied, as Mesagi gave Ren and Ruby their weapons.

"Alright guys. Follow me. . . If you can see me that is," Mesagi said to them.

When he heard no reply, he sighed, before taking out his chain and had all of RNJR hold onto it.

"Why are we holding onto your chain?" Nora asked. "So you won't get lost," Mesagi replied, before walking, RNJR following close behind.

Once they got out of the lower level basement while simultaneously trying not to be spotted, Mesagi saw some grunts with Nora and Jaune's weapons.

"I'll take them out. You guys stay," Mesagi said, before walking to the grunts.

Once he was close enough, he instantly knocked them up by hitting the back of their necks, very fast and strongly.

He grabbed the Jaune's sword, along with the sheath, and Nora's hammer from the grunts and tossed it to them.

"You guys go to the rooftop. They have an aircraft so we can get out through that. I have to rescue Neo," Mesagi ordered.

"Man, it feels like you're the leader here," Ruby said. "Unless you wanna be left-"

"Alright. Whatever you say, captain," Ruby gave up, before going to the rooftop.

Mesagi went back to the CCTV room, and realising the grunt was still asleep, after a brief look-a-round, he saw Neo tied up on a chair.

He looked at the corner of the TV and it was labelled as 'UL' Basement, ???

"How the. . ." Mesagi shook his head before running to the upper level basement.

. . . . .

He took off his entire disguise before running towards every room he could find.

At his first attempt, he already found the room that has Neo tied up on a chair.

Mesagi took out one of his katanas and attempted to cut the binds from her arms and legs.

He eventually managed to cut it off. "Here's your weapon, Neo," Mesagi said, giving her the umbrella.

Neo grabbed it before pulling Mesagi close to his face, making Mesagi blink.

"Uh. . . Neo?" Mesagi asked before he was suddenly thrown to the side.

He fell on his sides, which was not a good fall. He looked around and saw it was a completely white room.
