To the moon and back [Derek Hale]

Jack was watching the game in the living room while the females were gossiping in the kitchen. The house was filled with laughter until there was a loud knocking on the front door.

Erica went to answer it but what she saw was something her family was dreading to see...

Before her stood 2 men dressed in uniform, not just any uniforms...army uniforms.

"Good Evening young lady. Is this the Reyes Household?" Erica stood there shocked but called for her parents.

When they arrived Sarah burts into tears and Jack was stunned. The men began again.

"Good Evening. My name is Captain Rogers and this is Captain Bering. We are very sorry to inform you that something happend to General Isabella Reyes on her last mission."

They lead them in to the living room, in hopes to get more information out of them.

"You said something happened to Isabella. What was is?" Erica asked.
Rogers and Bering took a deep breath.

"About 3 hours after she left for her mission with her team there was a distress call. They got everybody out but they didn't find her. After 24 hours she was declared a POW (Prisoner of war)."

Sarah shook with sobs while Jack and Erica were comforting her and trying to hold in their own tears.

"We have sent the best of the best out looking for her. Isabella requested that we give you this -" they handed Edmund the envelope "- We are really very sorry and hope that when we return it will be with good news."

Jack escorted the officer's out while Erica and her mom tried to comfort each other

"This can't be happening! Where is my daughter! I can't loose her too not after..." tears flowed freely down Sarah's face.

"Dad don't you think we should see what's in the envelope?" Erica asked Jack when he came back into the room between sobs.

Jack nodded but when they opened the envelope, there was DVD with it and a foto of their family. They took the CD out of the case and slipped it in the DVR.

The video started with Isabella struggling with the camera.

"Uhhhmmm is this thing on. Uhhhmmm... come on, come on. What this light..oh wait." Isabella's laughter filled the screen.

"Okay so I don't know how to start this, so uhhmm hey?"

"Okay so let's get down to business-" she laughted again.

"So I never really told you why I joined the military but I think it's time for you to know...."

"So before we lost Olivia, me and her went to a diner. There was a story on the news about soldier's. There was just something about giving their lives so we can have normal ones, that peaked my interest."

"When Liv passed away everything changed. I pushed everyone away who was not family. There was a void in my life and the rest of my high school experience wasn't helping. After the incident senior year I just really needed a change."

"Being apart of the military really helped and changed my point of view, and for that I am grateful." At this point everyone was crying.

"Mom, dad you didn't do anything wrong. Sometimes things happen and life gives you lemons that are harder to squeeze. Okay that was really cliche" she chuckled.
