*Shawn's Point Of View*
We all lined up on the stage. I was standing next to Shelby, Her hand in mine. I looked at the guys, and stopped at Taylor, who was standing next to Mack and Mahogany. "We need to talk." He mouthed with a serious look. I just turned away and smiled at the crowd. All the fans were screaming. Then, Bart said, "Are you ready for Magcon?" They all screamed again. I couldn't help but smile even more.
"This is Shelby!" I said into my microphone. She began to blush as the crowd started to scream. She squeezed my hand. All of the sudden, Taylor bumped into me, making me lose my balance and fall. Shelby reached out and pulled me up. "Jerk." She said as she gave Taylor a dirty look. "Its fine. I'm tough!" I said trying to flex my muscles. Shelby laughed and walked over to Mahogany. I walked over to Cameron, who was sitting with Ashley. "What's Taylor problem?" I asked. "I don't know. Probably the whole Shelby thing." Cameron responded. "Well lets have some fun!" I yelled.
After 3 hours of doing random stuff, we decided to take pictures. Shelby came over and stood by me. The first fan walked up and handed me a sign. It said "I kissed Shawn Mendes<3" And had an arrow pointing to me. She kissed my cheek while I held up the sign for the picture. I hugged her and told her she was beautiful and I love her. she started to cry when she walked away. The next fan walked up and hugged me. "Is she your girlfriend?" She asked. I smiled at the thought of Shelby being my girlfriend. "No but she's beautiful! Isn't she?" I responded. "She's gorgeous!" She said as she smiled for the picture. Shelby started to blush because she heard the fan. "Can I take a picture with both of you?" The fan said with a smile. Shelby ran over and wrapped her arms around the fan. I wrapped my arms around both of them and smiled.
After VIP ended, we all walked up to our hotel rooms. I was about to walk into Shelby's room as an arm grabbed me and slammed me into the wall. "Quit Mendes." It was Taylor and he was mad. He only calls me "Mendes" when he's mad. "What?" I said back, trying to loosen his grip. "You and Shelby. Don't act like you don't like her." He said through his clenched teeth. "Taylor. why does it matter? You cheated on her. You broke her heart. You think she'll come back? You're wrong. You don't deserve her." By the time I finished talking Taylor had let go of me and backed up. I rubbed my arm. "Taylor!" I heard someone yell. I looked to see Mack skipping down the hall. "I'm leaving." I said rolling my eyes. "Bye Taylor!" I said sarcastically. "This isn't it Mendes." Taylor stated. "But I think it is." I said as I slammed the door.
"Where did you go?" Shelby said. "Taylor wanted to talk to me." I stated. "I'm sorry Shawn. This is all my fault. You should leave before anything happens." Hearing Shelby say those words broke my heart. I sat in front of her and grabbed her hands. "I know you and Taylor just broke up and you're not over him but. But I like you. Maybe love you. It hurts seeing you so hurt and I wish I could fix that. I want to help you. I love you Shelby." She stopped. She just looked at me. No emotion. I got up off the bed and began to walk towards the door. Tears were forming in my eyes. All of the sudden, I felt Shelby's small hand wrap in mine. She pulled me back on the bed and hugged me. I wrapped my arms around her.
After our 3 minute hug, she pulled away. She wiped away my small tears. She smiled and said, "I love you too Shawn. I have for a while. I get this feeling when I'm around you and I didn't know what it was or how to feel about it. I know it's weird to say since Taylor and I just broke up but I thought you should know." I smiled, awkwardly. I didn't know what to say. "We can get over Taylor together. I'm here every step of the way." I stated. "Promise?" Shelby asked. "Promise." I responded as I pulled her into my arms. She put her head into my chest. She sniffled. Then, I felt a wet drop hit my leg. She was crying. "Shelby, I'm sorry. Is it something I said?" I asked as I picked her head up. "No Shawn. It's just, I've never actually had someone truly care for me." She said, sniffling again. "I care for you. I always will." I stated while i wiped away her tears. i laid her head down on the pillow and covered her up with the blanket. I turned on the TV and laid down next to her. I pulled her close. She pushed her head to my chest.
I woke up around 10:30 pm. I woke Shelby up. "Let's go for a carriage ride!" I said. "At 10:30, in LA?" She asked with sarcasm. "Yep!" I shouted as I picked her up and carried her to the lobby.
In the lobby, there was only about 20 people. A majority were fans, so Shelby and I ran and hid behind the front desk. "If Bart Bordelon or anyone associated with Magcon asks where Shawn Mendes or Shelby Sims is, can you tell them we went out?" I asked the lady. "Sure thing Mr. Mendes. Would you like our security to escort you out?" She asked with a fake smile. "No thank you." I said, standing up. "Hey everybody! I'm Shawn Mendes!" I shouted. I grabbed Shelby's hand and ran for the door.
We ran all the way to down town. Which was 10 minutes away but we got there in 7. "You're crazy Mendes!" Shelby said, trying to catch her breathe. "That's why you love me!" I responded. I seen a carriage starting to get closer so I began to wave. The man stopped and hopped of the carriage. "Where would you young couple like to go?" He asked. "Where ever you would like to take us sir." I stated. "Hop in." He said back. I grabbed Shelby's waist and put her in the carriage. I grabbed the side and threw myself in. "This is perfect Shawn!" She said, smiling. "Just like you!" I scooted closer and put my arm around her. She put her head on my shoulder and scooted close.
