It has been about a week since our lunch date and things have been going great. At first I wasn't so sure about Lucas but now I enjoy his company. Lizzie absolutely loves him and Maggie is just taking her time getting used to him. Today was another day that we were all going to meet up, as always Maggie was taking her time getting to know him. Right now the girls and I are watching TV. Well more like I am watching TV while they're coloring. Lucas is coming over so that we can have dinner together.

Checking the time I see that Lucas will be here in an hour so I go to start dinner. From the living room I can here Lizzie talking about Lucas. Instead of sitting and listening to her sister like she usually does she came into the kitchen and sat at the table.

"Mommy does Lucas have to come to dinner?" I look at her a little surprised . She never acted this way before.

"Yes. I already invited him." I turn to smile at her and she frowns.

"You can not invite him." she pouted.

"Maggie, Lucas is coming for dinner and that is final." she jumps of the kitchen chair.

"I don't like Lucas." she leaves and I hear a door slam.

What has gotten into her. She was fine a few minutes ago. Thinking its just a temper tantrum I leave her alone. I continue to finish dinner, which is lasagna and garlic bread. Heading to my bedroom I throw on a skirt and a short sleeve shirt. Don't want to seem like I am trying to hard.

Unlike Maggie, Lizzie was looking forward to seeing Lucas. Not sure where this behavior came from but I am sure it will pass. Everything looked perfect. All that was left was to get the girls dressed. Lizzie rushed to her room to get dressed. When they came out Lizzie was dressed while Maggie was still in her pajamas.

"Maggie get dressed."

"I don't want to." This was the first time Maggie had ever talked back.

"I said get dressed Maggie Lucas will be here soon." she went to get dressed but not before stomping her feet and slamming her door.

Shortly after the door bell rang and Lizzie rushed to answer it.

"lulu. "

"Hey kiddo."

"Mom made lasagna its our favorite." she pulled Lucas along with her and guided him to the seat next to hers. When Maggie finally came out she was dressed but glaring at Lucas.

"That's my seat." Lucas was about to move but Lizzie spoke.

"You can sit next to mom." you could see the shock on her face. She didn't think her sister would just give up her seat like that.

Maggie was not happy that Lizzie gave her seat to Lucas. All night Maggie just glared at Lucas. I could tell that she did not like him but hopefully she well grow to like him. Maggie would only talk to Lizzie and when she tried to include Lucas she would ignore him. After dinner Lizzie took Lucas to the living room to show him her drawings while Maggie stayed at the table.

"Sweetie what's wrong?"

"I don't like him."

"Just give him a chance okay."

Instead of answering Maggie just left and went to her room. Going into the living I sat and watched Lucas listen to Lizzie intently. She was going on and on about how she drew a picture of all of us together and she wanted to show him. She ran to her room to get her pictures but instead of seeing her come back out the room we hear screaming. Running down the hallway into their room I see Maggie standing on her bed ripping up pictures and Lizzie is on the floor trying to pick up the pieces. Lizzie continues to cry as Maggie rips up the pictures not showing any sign of guilt on her face.
