[BOOK 1 IN THE CURSED SERIES]
Nothing really is normal at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry (by muggle standards, at least). The portraits talk. The staircases move. There's always a hidden secret lurking around the corner.
For Alison Liado...
After the feast, the prefects began leading their house to their common rooms. Slytherin went to the dungeons, Hufflepuff to the basement, Gryffindor to Gryffindor tower and Ravenclaw to Ravenclaw tower, one of the tallest towers in the castle. Alison and Stella arrived at the door, a statue of an eagle covered the entrance.
"Uhh, do you know how we get in?" Alison asked Stella.
"The door asks us a riddle, if we get it right, it lets us in"
The door began to speak, "What is 2 + 2?" it asks
"2 + 2? Is this a trick and the answer is fish?" Stella asked. The door let out a sigh and swung open, the two walked in. Alison looked around the room, completely stunned.

"Our bedroom is upstairs on the right" Stella said, bringing Alison back down to earth.
Alison smiled, "We should probably go and claim beds, then"
"I think they already put our things up there" Stella replied.
"Well, why don't we go check!"
The two walked upstairs and into their dormitory.

Stella saw her trunk under the bed on the left of the window and pointed at it, "There's mine"
Alison looked over, seeing her trunk under the bed on the right of the window, she noticed how new Stella's looked against her old battered one.
"Hey Luna" Stella said, seeing her cat on her bed and walking over.
Alison walked over to her bed, her tawny owl was perched on the bedframe, "Hiya Lizzie"
Stella looked out of the window, "We're in one of the tallest towers in the castle"
"Oh wow..." Alison said, shrinking back from the window and seeming a little scared.
"It's fine, at least your owl can fly in and out. Hufflepuff are in the basement and Slytherin are in the dungeons," Stella said, getting parchment, a quill and ink out of her trunk, "You gonna write to your parents?"
"Oh yeah! I probably should, I hope Momma isn't disappointed that I got Ravenclaw. But I guess I have showed signs of it my whole life. I'm a bit of a scaredy cat, but I love to learn"
Stella laughed as she began writing, "I'm getting a howler tomorrow"
