When the main character makes friends literally the DAY she meets them. (Like wtf how??)

Main character: *says a sassy comeback to like the badboy or queen bee or whatever*

Best friend: OMG! You are now officially my new BEST FRIEND!

Main character: *gasp* w-who me? But why?

Best friend: cause you stood up to [insert cliche mean girl name here] ! She like rules the school!

Best friend :LITERALLY NO ONE EVER STANDS UP TO HER for some reason.

Best friend: now let's go shopping so I can buy you a super short dress that you can wear to [insert cliche mean girl name here] party tonight!

Main character: ok.
