[Alli's POV]

I woke up and looked over to the bed Charles was sleeping in. He wasn't there. "CHARLES!" I screamed. A doctor came in. "Mrs. Trippy, your husband has suffered another seizure and we will need to keep him in the hospital for a few days to monitor him." He told me. "Where is he?" I asked. "Follow me." He instructed. I followed him to another room. In the room was my Charles, hooked up to IVs and oxygen. I began to cry. I went over to his bed. "Char?" I asked. "Alli!" He asked hoarsely, but his eyes lit up. "Yes baby." I told him. "What happened?" He asked. "You had another seizure," I began. "And you're gonna need to stay in the hospital for a few days so the doctors can monitor you." I finished. Tears streamed down his face. "It's okay, it's okay, it's okay." I repeated to him, but I was also talking to myself, convincing myself that everything was gonna be okay. Charles got moved back to room 231. "Want to go see Gavin?" I asked. "Yeah." He replied. He had to go in a wheelchair. "Gav?" Charles asked. "Hi!" Gavin said. "I'm sorry you had another seizure." He said to Charles. "Thanks!" Charles smiled. Charles talked to Gavin and I talked to Shay until Gavin had to go for pre-op.

[Gavin's POV]

A doctor took me down to the surgery center. I went into a room and my Dad came with me. "Ready to get changed?" He asked. I nodded. I got changed into a hospital gown, weird socks, and a hairnet. "Hello, I'm Dr. Russell and I'm your anesthesiologist." Said a doctor, apparently Dr. Russell. He talked to me and my dad about anesthesia and how it would make me go to sleep. Another Doctor came in and attached tags to my chest that connected to a machine. He also put a blood pressure cuff around my good arm. He explained that they would continually take my blood pressure during the operation to make sure I was doing okay. Dr. Soojan came in and wrote his initials on my arm. "What color cast would you like?" He asked. "Blue!" I said without hesitation. Blue was my favorite color. "Would you like a waterproof cast?" He asked. "Yes!" I said, also without hesitation. Waterproof cast meant I could still swim! Soon I was taken back to a room with a table on it. I was told to lay down on the table and relax. There were a bunch of doctors there all wearing the same blue scrubs. They introduced themselves as Dr. White, Dr. Emberly, Dr. Larsen and Dr. Soojan of course. I laid down on the table and I felt my dad kiss my forehead. Someone put a mask over my face and something started beeping. It got faster and faster and faster until I fell asleep.

[Charles' POV]

A doctor came in. "Now we will put on your new waterproof cast!" The doctor said. He produced a roll of cast padding and a roll of cast tape. He got out a saw thingy and began to cut off my old cast. Alli vlogged it "That tickles!" I laughed. The saw thing didn't cut my skin, just the cast off! After my old cast was off he wrapped my lower arm in the Gore-Tex padding and then the fiberglass cast tape. Finally my cast was done!

[Gavin's POV]

I woke up. "How are you doing Gavin?" Dr. Soojan asked. "Awesome." I replied. "How is your pain from 1-10." Dr. Emberly asked. "7." I replied. "Let's give him some morphine." Someone said. I knew morphine was pain medication. "How about now?" Dr. Emberly asked. "6." I replied. I sat up. I saw my cast. It was a light blue color. "Cool!" I exclaimed. "How are you doing?" My dad asked, coming into the room. "Awesome!" I smiled. I stayed in the recovery room for a while. I got some saltines and grape juice. After awhile I went back to my room in a wheelchair. I got back in the bed and put earbuds in my ears. We The Kings began playing.

When heaven seems so far away

And dreams are just a memory

Without the dark the light won't show

Remember that you're not alone

When you watch the world just turn away

And break the promises it made

When love is all too hard to hold

Just take a breath and let it go

Whoa whoa oh, whoa whoa oh, whoa whoa oh

Just keep breathing, breathing, breathing

Whoa whoa oh, whoa whoa oh, whoa whoa oh

Just keep breathing, breathing, breathing

2 A.M., too tired to sleep

When what you want's not what you need

And when these walls don't feel like home

Remember that you're not alone

The beginning's just another end

It's not too late to start again

When hope is all too hard to hold

Just take a breath and let it go

Whoa whoa oh, whoa whoa oh, whoa whoa oh

Just keep breathing, breathing, breathing

Whoa whoa oh, whoa whoa oh, whoa whoa oh

Just keep breathing, breathing, breathing

Ooh ooh...

When heaven seems so far away

And dreams are just a memory

When love is all too hard to hold

Just take a breath and let it...

Go whoa oh, whoa whoa oh, whoa whoa oh

Just keep breathing, breathing, breathing

Whoa whoa oh, whoa whoa oh, whoa whoa oh

Just keep breathing, breathing, breathing

[Charles' POV]

I walked into Gavin's room. He had earbuds in his ears and was singing "Just Keep Breathing". "You sound good buddy!" I told him. "Thanks!" He smiled, taking his earbuds out. "When your arm is healed, I'll teach you to play bass." I offered. "That would be awesome!" He said, his eyes wide. I loved all the ShayTards kids, but I had a feeling I would have a special relationship with Gavin. We talked and I told him stories of tour. He said that when he was older he wanted to vlog like Alli and I. That seriously made me so happy. He fell asleep around eleven and Alli, Shay and I went to the cafeteria to get lunch. I got a hamburger, Alli got a turkey wrap, and Shay got pizza. We sat down at a table and ate lunch.
