Chapter 15

[Charles' POV]

Life is good. So good. I am completely cancer free and haven't had a seizure since the candle store. Alli is now 14 weeks pregnant and had a pretty big bump for 14 weeks. I hadn't realized I said it out loud until a pillow came crashing down on my head. "CHAR DID YOU JUST CALL ME FAT!?" Alli screamed, but I knew she was joking. "No! I love baby Trippy!" I insisted, and proceeded to pull up her shirt and kiss her stomach. A big smile spread across her face. "Baby Trippy just kicked!" She exclaimed. I quickly turned on the camera. "Internet, baby Trippy is kicking!" I put my hand to her stomach and felt a little push on my hand. "Wow!" I smiled. I put the camera on the nightstand and put my other hand on her stomach. I felt it again, little pushes on my hand. "That is so weird, but really cool!" I remarked. I put my head to her stomach and a big kick hit my face. "AAAGGGHHH!" I yelled, surprised. "IT KICKED ME IT KICKED ME IT KICKED ME!" I screamed. We burst out laughing. We got ready and ate breakfast, and then headed to the clinic.

"Hi, I'm here for my 14 week checkup and ultrasound." Alli told the lady at the desk. "Okay, the doctor will be with you shortly." The lady said. We sat down in the waiting room and waited. I tweeted:

Almost immediately I got a bunch of tweets:

I looked up from my phone to see the doctor standing, waiting for us. We laughed and went into the ultrasound room. The doctor put the gel on my stomach and moved the ultrasound thing around. A black and white image appeared on the screen. The doctor moved it some more. A confused expression appeared on her face. "What is it? Is there something wrong? Is my baby okay?" I asked, my eyes filling with tears. "Not baby, Alli," the doctor began. What? What does she mean by that? "Babies. You are expecting twins!" She announced. I began to cry tears of relief and joy. Nothing was wrong! And better yet-there were two of them! Two Trippy babies! "Yay!" Charles exclaimed, focusing the camera on the screen. You could see our two babies. "What are their genders?" Charles questioned. "Hmm, let's see..." The doctor replied. She moved it around and then said, "Okay, this one is a girl!"

[Charles' POV]

"Okay, this one is a girl!" The doctor announced. "Wow! A mini Alli!" I smiled. Alli smiled back and I hugged her shoulders while holding the camera. "And this one is a boy!" The doctor said. "A mini Charles!" Alli exclaimed. After the ultrasound, we went back home. We sat on the couch, with Zoey by me, Chico by Alli, and Marley in the middle. Alli placed Chico's paw on her stomach and said "Feel you baby brother and sister Chico!" One of them kicked and Chico barked and jumped away. "I HAVE A GREAT FAMILY PHOTO IDEA!" Alli exclaimed. We set up the camera to get a still shot, and put Zoey, Marley and Chico above us on the couch. Alli and I put our hands on her bump. After we got the still video, the dogs came back down on the couch. We stayed that way for a while, our little family: Charles, Alli, Zoey, Marley, Chico, and the twins. I tweeted:

I paused my game and got up to go get Alli some ice cream. I grabbed some ben & jerry's half-baked from the freezer and a spoon and gave it to her. "No thank you?" I asked. She replied with punching me in the balls. I freaking love my wife, even when she hits me in the balls and makes me stop playing video games to get her ice cream. She is my beautiful, smart, funny, awesome, amazing Alli and I love her so much.
