It was just like any other day under the sea as you made your way over to the Sea Wizard's cave. You had to admit, even though he was a complete arse as a boss, it was nice to have someone that was out of the norm of the regular mer-folk and see things differently. Though some may think he was brain washing you, you on the other had thought it was more like seeing things in a different perspective. As you casually swam into the cave, ignoring the moans and groans of his garden of souls, which still crept you out till this day. "Welcome back little guppy." he said casually as he looked up from the news paper, his glasses on the bridge of his nose- woah glasses? Since when did he wear glasses? And when did glasses suddenly look attractive?! Mentally you slapped yourself before smirking and crossing your arms. "Would you look at that? Looks like age has finally settled on you ya old wizard."
"Watch your tongue little girl. I may be a little aged, but I'm very much experienced, in more ways than one." he said with a smirk, putting down the news paper and resting his cheek on his fist. A blush immediately formed on your face as you quickly looked away, trying to find something else to busy yourself with. "S-Shut up you old pervert." you grumbled, grabbing the clip board and continuing your daily tasks.

As the day went by and you continued to do your work, you found yourself outside of his menacing cave with a basket and his two minion eels named Flotsie and Jetsie at your side. "Usually Master comes with you to collect these ingredients," Flotsie began as the three of you swam to the near by coral field.
"So why is he not with you?" Jetsie asked.
"Don't try to escape him, he'll find you for sure." Flotsie chirped swimming right in front of you as you reached the coral field.
"Not like you have a sliver of a chance anyways." Jetsie snickered.
"Oh would you both relax, I'm not escaping. I'm doing my job, and besides, it's just coral, it's not like we're out to grab the exotic ones he has." You explained as you began collecting. Little by little, you soon had enough coral to last through any spell. "Well look who decided to show up in this side of the sea." Flotsie said.
"What does King Tritan's daughter want?" Jetsie asked. Daughter? You looked over and saw none other than Ariel cautiously swimming around.
"Ariel?" you asked yourself, and then your eyes widened. No, no it couldn't be. "She cant...she wouldn't..." you whispered before grabbing the basket. "Flotsie, Jetsie, come on. We're heading back."
"What for?" they asked simultaneously.
"Question later now hurry!" you snapped and with a flick of your tail, you swam after her, making sure she wouldn't see you.

When the three of you swam back to the cave, Flotsie and Jetsie immediately went to Ursulen's side as he sat in his chair. "My my my, I knew this day would come." Ursulen mused.
"Y-You knew?" Ariel's voice softly rang through the cave. You quickly hid behind a jutted part of the wall and listened in.
"Of course I knew. Your face says it all. A mermaid who fell in love. So tell me little one, who's the lucky man that one your princess heart?"
Don't say it, you prayed in your head. Please don't say it.
"A human." she said. "He has such a beautiful face, an-and a kind heart and I would really love for me to meet him again." she said, sounding absolutely entranced at the thought of this human.
"A human? How very very interesting. Yes indeed." he said as he began to swim around, like a shark toying with their prey. "Well, I can help you become human." Ursulen said casually, as if it were just another thing he does on the daily.
"I-Is it even possible?" she asked softly.

"Of course it's possible, what do I look like? An amateur with a children's spell book?" Ursulen remarked sarcastically.

"H-how can I trust you." Ariel demanded.

"Oh, did your father spread rumors about me? How cute." Ursulen chuckled. "Alright, alright, I admit that in the past I've been a nasty. They weren't joking when they called me, well, to put it kindly, a witch. But, you'll find me nowadays, I've mended all my ways, repented and seen the light and all that...stuff." He said before smirking and swimming towards her. "Fortunate for you I know a little magic," he mused. "a talent that I've always had at hand. And dear princess, don't laugh, I use it on behalf on the miserable, the lonely and depressed! Pathetic really." he mumbled lastly under his breath. "Now of course, my dear, we haven't gotten down to the method of payment." He said as he casually sunk in his chair.
"A price?"
"Of course there's a price. I run a business here you know." Ursulen said.
"A-and that price is?" Ariel asked.
"Well, your voice obviously." Ursulen smirked.

"M-My voice?" She repeated, touching her neck. "How will I be able to talk to him?"
"Ever heard of body language?" He asked bluntly with a raised eyebrow.
"Listen, men up there don't like a lot of blabber. They think a woman who gossips is a bore. As much as you can talk and voice your opinion here, sadly the land up there is far to menacing for a pure unfortunate soul like you."
"Oh how would you know that?! Aren't you a male yourself!" Ariel asked, crossing your arms.
"Last time I checked yes." he said with a smirk, causing you to mentally slap your forehead. Pervert, you mumbled in your head.

"I mean really Ariel," Ursulen crooned as he stood behind her. "It's a small price to pay for what you will be getting."
"Getting?" she asked.
"Why of course! My spells become beneficial to both me and my client! You see, my spell, for you in particularly, will turn you into a human for one week. Got that? One week. Usually it's three days, but for you? I'll give some room. So in three days, you have to make dear prince charming here to kiss you and not just any kiss, the kiss of true love."
"Isn't that the only kiss?" Ariel asked.
"....Sure. Moving on, once you get that kiss, you stay human forever, however, if you don't, you turn back into a mermaid, and you're mine, for eternity." Ursulen said. "So, we have a deal?"
"But....if I stay human forever, I won't get to see my father or my sisters..." Ariel said sadly.

"Tragic. Life is full of tough decisions isn't it?" Ursulen said bluntly. "But on the plus side, you have this man who will cherish you forever." he said, oozing his words in sweetness. Ariel looked at it as Ursulen made a golden contract appear. "What will it be my dear? It's a once in a life time opportunity. And I don't thing dear old daddy will ever let you pop a pair of legs." Ursulen said. "Along with me being a very busy man. Ariel once again looked at the mystifying image of the human she fell in love with and the contract, before her face contorted from uncertainty to determination.
"Got her." Ursulen muttered with a smirk.
"Head over fin~" Flotsie sang and giggled.
"Hook, lined and sinker." Jetsie giggled.

Oh no..! "Ariel no! Don't do-mmph!" Immediately your mouth was muffled by Flotsie as Jetsie quickly tied your hands above your head with the hanging pink plants that came from the cave ceiling. "I'll do it!" Ariel stated, causing you to scream into the eel's body as she grabbed the fish pen and signed her name. Ursulen chuckled with greed and excitement as he stood by his pot, tossing ingredients of all sorts, alive and dead, into the cauldron. "From the deepest trenches of the sea to the dangerous tides," he began chanting, his deep voice booming through out the cave.
"come winds of the Caspian Sea!
Servite dominum tuum,
in which you hail to me!
Larengix glaucitis
Et max layngutis
la voce to me!"

Your eyes widened as large terrifying hands that were talon like formed, ready to snatch whatever was being offered. "Sing little mermaid." Ursulen ordered. You screamed again as you tried to stop your friend from making this horrible decision however she began to sing a harmonious tune. The hands slowly reached toward her before going down her throat and retrieving a ball of light, in which was her voice. "Now, let's get this party started." Ursulen grinned as he thrusts his hands forward. You watched in shock as Ariel was engulfed his magic, watching as the silhouette of her tail split in two and formed into feet. You watched in absolute horror as she became the one thing that you hate hated the most. The bubble broke and Sebastian along with Flounder raced to her aid in order to help her get to the surface.

The cave grew silent as the water calmed down. You hung there limp, your head bowed with defeat and reality before hearing Ursulen move. "What is the matter my little guppy?" he asked, peeling Flotsie off your face and tossing her aside before untying you.
"I cant believe it..." you whispered, your arms falling to your side.
"You can't believe what?" he asked, watching with his steely eyes at your bowed head.
"Betrayed me." There was a moment of silence in the cave before he gently pulled you into his embrace.
"They always do, my dear guppy." he murmured soothingly, petting your hair as you curled into his form. "They always do." His cold arms and embrace, now felt like the most comforting place in all of the seven seas, and you didn't mind the slightest.
