"Will you help me?" Adrienne asked, his turquoise blue eyes twinkling with determination, anticipation and, dare you say, a hint of desperation, however you couldn't say no. After all, Elson was your friend and you waited for years on end to finally be reunited with the brothers. You weren't going to let them slip away again. Not this time.
"Alright, i'll help." you agreed, ready to help your friend bring his older brother home, and bring Arendelle's king back to his throne. Immediately, Adrienne called for his horse while the two of you fastened your cloaks upon your shoulders. You knew it wasn't going to completely keep the cold out, but it was better than nothing. You watched as Adrienne left everything to Princess Hannah, who begged for him not to go in such extreme weather conditions. Something felt odd about the princess, but then again, who were you to say? You weren't born into royalty or nobility, you never really knew how they truly act with one another, let alone in such dire conditions such as now. Thus, you shrugged it off and waited for Adrienne to finish. With his final farewell, he cracked the reigns and the two of you were off, speeding beyond the gates of the kingdom in search for Elson.Hours had passed since the two of you had begun your search for the older brother. Your voice had become slightly raw from calling out his name with Adrienne, however your stubborn attitude and determination to find Elson forced you to continue on. You both continued to search high and low, leaving no stone unturned.
"Elson!" Adrienne called, looking around for any signs of his brother. "Where are you!" Suddenly, as the two of you looked around, a pile of snow collapsed right in front of you, spooking not only you and Adrienne, but the horse as well. The horse reared on to its hind legs, neighing in fright and knocking the two of you off its back. Landing on the soft, cold snow with a grunt, you fumbled to sit back up only to see Adrienne stumbling to capture the horse. "No no no wait!" Adrienne cried out, but it was too late. The horse had ran off, leaving the two of you deserted in the snowy forest with nothing but the clothes on your backs.Silence fell upon the two of you as realization set in. You had no means of transportation and would now have to continue your search on foot. You looked over to see Adrienne now on his knees, looking like a hopeless child who had no hope. Your heart ached at the sight. All his life, he hasn't been able to leave the castle grounds and finally when he does, everything seemed to crumble right in front of him. With a small sigh, you got up, dusting your dress of any snow before walking over to Adrienne and holding a hand out towards him. He looked up at you rather confused at what you were doing. "We can't just stand here all day Adrienne, or else we're going to turn into icicles. Now come on, we've still got to find your brother." You grinned. You watched as a look of despair turned into hope and determination before he too grinned and grabbed your hand.
"You're right (Y/n). We're going to find Elson and we're going to bring him home! He's going to stop this winter and Arendelle will be back to the way it was!" He grinned as he hopped back onto his own two feet. You giggled at his enthusiasm and thus, the two of you were off once again.Day turned into night sooner than you had hoped for. The once bright sun that that you had thought had done nothing to keep you warm was now replaced with a bright pale moon along with a dramatic drop in temperature. You were tired and exhausted from hiking around in the snow in an evening gown that was barely keeping you warm. You almost wanted to call it off and head back to the kingdom, to try another day when the two of you are both prepared, however you couldn't. To imagine his hopeless look again would break your heart, and what kind of friend would you be if you quite searching for Elson just because of a little cold? You couldn't and you wouldn't. You wanted to see Elson again. You didn't want to admit it, but you were captivated by him. His piercing blue eyes, strong yet gentle features, his voice, the way he holds himself, everything about him made your heart race a little faster and your face to warm slightly.
"Look (Y/n)! Fire!" Adrienne said, pointing over to the direction of smoke and breaking you out of your train of thought. You gasped as you looked over the top of the hill.
"Really?!" you said all too excitedly, only to suddenly lose your footing. Everything flashed before your eyes as you came tumbling down the hill before diving into a small stream. To say you were horrified was an understatement. Not only was it absolutely freezing already, the water itself felt as if it were pins and needles against your skin, and the fact that you were in a dress, which did little to no help in keeping you warm. "Oh you've got to be kidding me...!" you cried out as you slowly moved out of the stream.
"(Y/n)!" you heard someone call. You looked over to see Adrienne tumbling after you in a clumsy fashion, however much more controlled than you could ever wish to hope for yourself. Immediately he rushed to your aid and helped you stand. "(Y/n) are you alright?" he asked worriedly.
"C-couldn't be better." you stuttered, cursing at how you were shivering violently.
