I should sleep

25 5 1

I'm not sure why
But I'm awake
Laying here
Counting the sound of raindrops
Dripping off my window hitting the ground quietly
Making a rhythm for my heart to follow

Come lay with me
Daydream with me
Count the numbers of words I use to describe blissfully sleeping
Snoring and hitting the snooze
The way I talk about staying awake instead of dreaming.
Close my eyes for me
Listen to the world buzz alive just when I finally close my eyes
Shut off my brain and dive head first into sleep with me.
Let the blankets cascade over us.
Like waterfall of fabric falling over us.
