The Silver Lining

As we begin

Chapter 10

"Come on Kevin!" Amanda shouts

"Give me a few minutes!" I shout back

We were getting packed to leave for the first few items. I was packing my backpack at the moment. I remember when I packed this bag to leave my old home many years ago. It seemed to faint now and the smell of well not being used overcame my nose. A single tear rolled down my face. That day was my life changer... the day that changed everything.

Amanda interrupted my thoughts,           "Come on Kevin seriously!"

"Alright alright I am ready!" I quickly run down the stairs and into the living room where I see my "mom" crying

"I-I just c-can't believe your l-l-leaving!"

"Oh mom it's ok!" we both said in unison

"I know.... it's just I don't wanna see you go!" she started crying but then got a hold on herself

"Phew! I'm sorry guys really. Ok back to the issue. Kevin, you watch Amanda. Make sure she doesn't do anything stupid! and Amanda, just stay out of trouble" she laughs and we join in.

"We better head out!" And with that we left.

We bought a RV since we would be on so many adventures with it.

"Well this will be fun! Just you and me traveling the world... and beyond with no parents!" Amanda exclaims

"Yep." I say as I concentrate on the road.

"You know at about 10 o'clock or earlier we have to stop somewhere and rest."

"I know Amanda I'm not stupid." I say

"Ok ok just makin' sure"

We laugh once again at the insult.

I yawn loudly to grab Amanda's attention.

"Oh sleepy head it's time to go to bed!" she came over and shook me a little to get me up

"Fine fine! if you insist" I laughed and parked the RV at a resting spot for truckers.

We examined the BED for a while. there was only one...

"Really Amanda I thought you had this worked out!" I say

"Well I was so excited I just looked for the one with the best kitchen... sorry" she says and looks down

"Oh Amanda it's ok. I can sleep on the floor." I say

"No no! If anything I should sleep on the floor! You get the bed." She says as she grabs a pillow and blanket

"No no no! Ok we will both sleep on the floor."

"Fine goodnight."

"Good night"

We turned off the lights and I was sleeping in an instant.

I looked at the clock, 2:51 a.m.

(A/N it really is that time for me right now)

I yawned and noticed the aching in my back. I realized it's from the floor. I ever so slowly got up and crawled into the bed only to my surprise SOMEONE was already there. Oh Amanda! To be honest I didn't care I was to tired. I rolled over on my side and I was out once again.

••••••••••••AMANDA'S POV•••••••••••

I yawn and roll over only to surprised as my face is pressed up to Kevin's. I give him a quick little kiss on the cheek and get up slowly.

'I should be awesome and make break fast for my boyfriend I mean brother!' I thought to myself. the way boyfriend sounded gave me butterflies!

I got up and started making pancakes. I could tell Kevin was started to smell the sweet smell of them by his groans and constant rolling over. I laugh out loud. I get a good idea. I turn off the stove and walk to Kevin.

"Oh Kevin. I'm here." I say in a sweet soft tone.

"Oh Amanda I-I missed you. I love you Amanda I really do." he said.

He didn't know what he was saying since he was still very tired. I felt alittle guilty taking advantage of him but oh well!

"How much?" I ask

"1,278,456,192.5" he says and rolled over to the side of the bed I was sitting on.

"Oh really now? Kiss me Kevin!" I say

At that he jumps up out of bed.

"W-what happened here?" he asks very confused

"Kevin... I know the truth." I say

"You know about my birthmark shaped like a question mark!?!?" he asked

"No..? well now I do but anyway I know that you shall I say love me." I say

"What?! Who told you?! are you a whitch?!"

"Haha no Kevin. You just talk in your sleep." I say and walk over to him

"I did?!" (😩<His face)

"Yep you did Kevin but I sorta kinda love you too" I say shyly

"Good because I have always wanted to do this." he said and pulled me close to him

"Wait Kevin! As much as I am going to love this, didn't my mom say to not do anything stupid?" she asked

"Oh Amanda... love isn't stupid."

and with that he kisses me!! Right then and there! It wasn't one of our little trick for the game kiss this was real and deep, and I love it!

Well here we go. Now that we are searching the world for items together we really will be together!
