''OMG!'' Katherine squealed excitedly, as she bounced up and down on her bed, with Vanessa's hand still in hers. They were all now gathering in Katherine and Jade's dorm room. ''Thank you, Nessa! I thought he wouldn't tell you either.'' She sighed in relief, and then shifted her eyes furiously at Cameron, who was lying comfortably on Jade's bed. ''but I guess he's not a 'secretive little shit' after all, huh?''

Cameron just played with his ring. He shrugged. ''I'm shocked too, Kat. When I ask him questions like, if he's seeing or interested in someone, he'd say, 'none of your business.' So, I just assumed that kind of question would get the same answer too. He was always secretive about his love life. I don't even know if he's dated before.''

''Are you sure he's not gay? or at least, bisexual?'' Scott interrupted, rubbing his chin curiously. The others looked at each other. Cameron had a face that spoke, 'why didn't I think of that?'.

Jade rolled her green eyes. ''That's just rude to assume someone's sexuality.''

''Like you guys are assuming he's straight.'' Scott fixed his glasses diligently, as he scoffed at their lack of judgment. They were at a loss for words.

Vanessa came back to her senses, and shook her head. ''He clearly said 'girl'. So, let's leave it at that.''

Katherine then shyly grinned, making a smile appeared on Vanessa's face as she watched her friend being so excited.

But actually, Vanessa didn't specifically told Katherine the whole story. She figured she should only tell her the most important part that Katherine wanted to hear, which was, that Chris didn't really care about types. At least that was what she thought he meant.

She also couldn't forget the unusual, overwhelming feeling of happiness that she felt, after Christopher said those words to her.

'So, don't feel too disappointed.'

It kept repeating in her head. She couldn't stop smiling.

''Someone's in Happy Land.'' Cameron remarked, when he saw that Vanessa was still smiling by herself, even when Katherine already stopped. ''Hello?'' he waved his hand in front of her, when he realized she didn't hear him.

What is up with this woman? Cameron thought as he watched the strange girl smiling.

Jade and Scott turned to each other, amused by Vanessa's weird behavior, as Katherine furrowed her eyebrows in confusion.

''Huh?'' Vanessa blinked her eyes, feeling dazed. ''What? Why are you guys looking at me like that?'' she touched her face uneasily, as if there might be something on it that brought their attention to her.

They stared at her, then suddenly burst into laughter, making Vanessa felt more insecure and left out.

''Ha-ha, very funny guys.'' Vanessa sarcastically replied, and rolled her eyes in annoyance. ''Seriously tho', what happened?"

Cameron coughed. ''Nothing. Don't worry, sunshine.'' He smiled at his adorable best friend, before looking at his watch. It showed three fifty-one in the afternoon. ''Whoop. Time to go. Chris probably has already finished his class by now.'' He held Vanessa's hand, and headed for the door. ''Bye guys!'' he waved his other hand to each of them, and abruptly stopped at his roommate. ''See ya later, Scott. Don't forget to teach me that card trick.'' He winked as Scott saluted.

''Bye y'all!'' Vanessa shouted, while still tightly holding hands with Cameron, as they walked faster towards the bleach-haired guy, that almost made her a fool out of herself.
