A Goodbye for a Lifetime

Warden soon arrived at Superjail to get ready for what was yet to come. This was it. The beginning of a new beginning that would last a lifetime.

That next day he looked at himself in the mirror. Jared had helped him get himself ready as he put his tuxedo on Warden and straightened his shirt. Warden kept a serious face on looking at the ground until Jared looked up.

"Why the long face sir?" Jared looked up and straightened Wardens bow tie. Warden looked at him and smiled gently.

"Nervous is all Jared." Warden took a breath but managed a smile. Jared adjusted his bow tie and smiled back kindly. "You'll do great sir."

They needed to sneak out of Superjail unseen. Alice could only handle keeping them back for so long. Warden grabbed the rest of his things and needed to rush out of here, taking one last look at his bedroom. He choked up slightly realizing Superjail was really the only home he had, or at least the home he came to know and love. He grabbed his bag and ran as fast as possible.

Downstairs the enemy forces who were looking for Warden, or at least expecting him in his military outfit, spotted that he wasn't even in Superjail. The head of the team squinted his eyes. "He's going somewhere that isn't on our charts." He said to his assistant.

"Well what do we do about that sir?"

The commander looked at Warden and pointed a system that shot a small dot towards him. Even if a bullet was in his gun, he wouldn't be able to finish his work in time.

Warden winces feeling something hit his arm, almost like a bee sting, but acted it off as if nothing, dusting off his shirt and hurried towards Jailbot as the enemy forces watched him leave and yelled outraged.

Warden finally knew he would be away from it, away from gunshots, and war, and everything that his actions had let up to be. He knew he couldn't run from his problems forever, but it was only a matter of time before he could tell Onceler that, but that was beside him for now.

He was going to get married and he was going to be happy. Hopefully happy for the rest of his life. He looked down at his hand, finally not wearing his normal grey silk gloves, and looked at the ring that the man that he loved presented him.

"Soon... very very soon"

Jailbot formed into a capsule to take Warden back to Onceler's factory. Jared and Alice would arrive soon as they waved goodbye to Warden. Warden looked at Superjail and he felt hot tears fall down his face. He would be leaving the one place he knew and love and he felt guilty almost. He wiped them from his face but formed a small smile. He knew where ever Onceler was he would be happy. He slowly saw Superjail fade and places his palm onto the window.

"Goodbye old friend..."
