"Did you do it?" Katrina breathed.

Will stood in front of her in his disarrayed suit, completely taken aback by what she just said. Katrina stared at him and she couldn't help seeing how his dark, messy hair framed his face so perfectly. Even though she knew what he had done, Katrina couldn't help noticing how handsome he still looked.

"What?" Will whispered, even though he knew what she had said.

They stood alone at the back of the manor on a lonely porch in the dark. Katrina had run to find him as soon as she had heard what people were saying about him. Her fancy updo had been ruined on the way and a piece of loose hair fell in her eyes. She stared at Will in disbelief and shivered in the cool night.

" You let me come to this party, with you. Knowing what you did to me!" Katrina's voice shook slightly. She didn't want to believe what she was told. She didn't want to belief the worst in Will.

Will took a deep breath and gave her a look of such sadness that there was no denying it.

"Katrina, just let me explain to you... what I did..." Will trailed off, he didn't know what to say. Tears filled her eyes and Katrina put a hand over her mouth.

" How could you do this to me." She said, her voice trembled and her breathing was hitched. Tears spilled over her eyes and came down her cheeks, and Katrina just stood there staring at him, completely shocked. She didn't know what to do anymore, the hurt she felt was overwhelming. Will bit his lip. He hated to watch the pain on her face; he hated that he had caused it.

" I was going to tell you, I really was. But, then you looked so beautiful in that dress and you were so happy tonight. I didn't know how to tell you." Will stammered. He needed to fix this, he knew he couldn't lose her.

Katrina moved to sit in one of the chairs on the porch. She was shaking with every word Will said to her. Katrina cried harder than ever before. She could barely see Will through her tears. Will stepped forward reaching out his hand to comfort her. He wanted to help her.

" No, don't touch me!" Katrina sobbed.

Will flinched at her words. They had been in love since they were kids, and now because of him Katrina wouldn't even look at him.

" I'm sorry, Katrina." Will said, but she didn't answer.

They sat in silence letting the minutes go by. Katrina sat and silently let her tears fall, and after a while she stood up and faced Will.

Her voice shook when she spoke. " I think we should take a break from each other."

It was Will's turn to look shocked. " Like temporarily?" He said, he was scared he didn't want this to end.

" No, I mean forever." Katrina spoke through her tears and her voice sounded choked.

" Katrina don't do this." Will spoke desperately trying to save what was left of them.

Katrina clutched her heart and more tears rolled down her face. She didn't want to do this because she was still in love with him and she wanted this to work. But, she knew in her heart this was the right thing to do.

" I loved you Will, I really did." Katrina said before she tried to wipe her eyes with her hand. But, it was no use against the tears. " And you loved me. And we were in love Will. But, now its time for us to move on."

" Don't do this!" Will yelled he couldn't believe what was happening.

" Look at what we've done!" Katrina cried. She was sobbing uncontrollably and she hated everything that this night had become. " It hurts too much, Will"

" Are you telling me to let you go? That I don't have a chance to fix this?" Will questioned tears glistening in his eyes.

" Yes." Katrina breathed.

After a minute, Katrina straightened her dress and walked away. Leaving Will behind, and leaving the love of her life behind. She had never imagined a life without him in it. And, Katrina didn't know how she was going to go on with her life. She just knew that it hurt too much to think of what Will had done to her. And, that maybe it was time to let go of him. Maybe it was time to run.
