Everything was muffled and dark. You thought this was the end. Until your eyes opened and saw a bright light. It was still muffled though. You heard voices and wondered what was happening.

"You can't do that Angela! You can't just play God and decide who lives! You know what the consequences are!" Someone yells. You could hear their Japanese accent, perhaps their escort while they were in Japan?

"So we just let her bleed out and die here!" A woman's voice says.

"Angela th-"

You cut the person off with your weak, raspy and tired voice. "Please save me." You whimpered.

"Please."

Then the light went out.

When you woke up. You wondered if it was heaven. You didn't feel pain anymore and you felt energized. Ready to tackle anything that came at you.

But, you opened your eyes to see the same image you had seen the last time you woke up. Except for this time, it was clear.

You try to sit up but your body wouldn't respond. You could move your right arm, half of your right torso, and your left leg but it felt very heavy like something was weighing them down. You were laying on your back, stuck there.

You look at your body, it didn't look like you were missing any limbs, so why were you stuck?

"Um" it didn't come out right when you tried to speak. Your voice was still weak. You cleared your throat and spoke again.

"Hello?" You called out. " Is anyone there?"

You heard footsteps and soon a blond woman came into the room looking excited. You remember her as Mercy from Overwatch. She went and stood at the foot of your bed.

"W-why can't I move?" You asked.

A look of realization appeared on Mercy's face.

"Well, in order to keep you alive.. we had to replace about half of your body with technology."

You were in shock. "So that means I'm a..." you didn't want to say the words. If you did they would become true.

"Yes Y/N, you are a cyborg."

You nodded and let out a shaky breath. "So, why can't I move?" You asked confused.

Mercy then went back to her usual motherly self. "Oh sorry! I haven't powered you up yet! To be honest I didn't know if you were going to wake up." Wow, that makes me feel good.  It's not that you were disgusted with machinery and omnics. its just the fear of change rocked you.

She speed walk to the left of your bed and goes on the high-tech-looking laptop. She presses a few buttons and you hear the soft whirring of your new body.

You feel yourself come alive. You could now feel materials and heat. Of course not to the full extent a real body would, it was a bit dull.

You held up your right hand in front of your face to examine it. It looked like a hand. It moved like a hand. But why didn't it feel right?

"Y/N?"  Mercy called out sounding concerned

You turned your head to look at her. "Yes?"

"You're crying. What's wrong." She asked.

You brought your real hand up to wipe your tears. You thought about the situation you were in for a minute. It was enough to break you.

You started having a meltdown. Screaming and crying. Eventually, Mercy and another man, whose voice you recognize from before, had to come and control you. It seemed as though all of the emotion that you have worked to suppress being an assassin was being released.

The man held you down while Mercy sedated you.

"Genji did the same thing..." was all you hear as you blacked out from the sedative.
