Chapter 4: Magic wands and Magic Classes
As we headed down the hallway I noticed as a young girl was trying to move around two guys who seems to be pestering her as she continuously asked for them to get out of her way and noticing by the look on her face she was no amused by their perverted comments.Just as I was going to inform Jasper to help her, her next move told me she that despite her innocent look she was not one to mess with.
With one gentle swift hand movement the boys had become frozen. She flipped her hair and casually walked past them as if there wasn't two lumps of her ice blocking her path.
I let out a little laugh and looked towards the room that we had suddenly stopped in front of what was my next period.
"Bye-" I looked back giving a half wave to Jasper, who wasn't really paying attention and just strolled off. I let out a deep sigh, and took a seat at the back of the class. Students were still taking their seats, and a guy with a blue face, and pointy ears took a seat in front of me.
What the-
Don't freak out, they're just like you.
"Hey, I'm Cleo." I looked beside me to see a girl with long white hair, with an air brushed cheetah print going through the right side of it, she had dark brown eyes with a a black slim oval shape pupil.
"Evelyn.".
"Whoa! You're that girl who lived in the mortal world right?" She acknowledged, with a very strong British-like accent.
"Erm... Yeah...?" I replied.
"What?" The guy behind her broke in our conversation, his hair was white, but had a blue shine to it, it was messily spiked and brushed to the side, and suited him very well with his deep blue eyes. He seemed sort of familiar, like I'd seen him somewhere before. "You lived in the mortal world?"
"Yeah, I thought I just answered that..." I recalled.
"What was it like? I mean I've never actually interacted with mortals." He questioned curiously his eyes glinting.
"No one has Jack...Well apart from the angels of course." Cleo replied.
"Angels?" I exclaimed "That's kind of...cool." I replied nonchalantly trying to avoid acting like a complete newbie.
"Their gifts, totally. Their clothing sense, horrible. They only ever where white, even on the day of the dances, I mean, just imagine you spilled pizza sauce on it or something, it's so noticeable, I would not be able to handle that." She said wavering her hands about.
"Is it weird that I've never actually seen an Angel? I mean with the halo and wings I'd think they'd be easy to spot." I said, and they both started laughing."What's so funny?" I asked, laughing awkwardly.
Don't tell me they don't have Halos and wings.
"You wouldn't be able see an Angel." Jack told me in between laughs.
"I don't understand?"
"Angels are allowed to go to mortal word because they can disguise and hide away, and make themselves seen like they're normal mortal human beings. They're like the protectors of Earth, and guide people. It's literally their purpose."
"Oh." I mumbled, letting out a little laugh. "So what's your guys gift?"
"I have the eye of the cheetah." Cleo told me proudly.
"Er...I don't kno-"
"Right, you haven't brushed upon on magic..." She said with surprisingly okay attitude, unlike Jasper. "The eye of the cheetah allows me to slow down everything with my mind, making me move where ever I want really quickly." She said, as she quickly has jumped from the seat she was sitting at, to a spot beside me, and back to where she was sitting.
