High School Heartbreak {ON HOLD}

T w o: take a picture it'll last longer

Dear Diary,
Ever since that stupid announcement the school hasn't been the same, like c'mon it's just a dumb dance. I guess I'm just a bit butt hurt because the person I wanted to ask me asked one of my bestfriends Brook in dancing with class . I really can't blame her because I wasn't open about my crush on him but it's whatever. Now yes, why don't I tell myself Missy you are freakin 16 why don't you go up to him and tell him...oh yeah I forgot I'm a pussy.

"MISSY!" Mariah yelled in my ear

"YEAH ...WHAT" I said in fright

"Let's go the bell rang"

"Oh ok"

I said as I pack up my books and went to my last period.

"Ugh I hate this class." Someone says behind me. I look back and shriek in excitement. "OMG KHYLLA WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE! It's been like forever since I last saw you." I said frantically.

"Oh I've been great. But you know Minnesota wasn't for me so I move back." she said with a smile
"I'm so happy to see you."

Khylla is my bestfriend since like 3rd grade. But her dad got a job in Minnesota.We still kept in touch but it wasn't the same. So she moved in with her grandma. I'm so glad she's back.

At the end of the day I met up with Mariah and Brook , Khylla had to go home and help her grandma around the house.We all went to Giordano's for pizza and started talking about that dumb dance.

"Can you believe all of those people going crazy over some stupid dance." I said in disgust.

"C'mon Missy are you still mad you don't have a date, you could just go alone." Mariah said as if she was sick of me saying that.

"Hey you don't have one either."

Mariah look as if she was hiding something.

"EVEN YOU HAVE A DATE!"

"Hey what is that suppose to mean." Mariah said in an offended manner.

"No offense, but you know"

"Ugh shut up." She said, picking her pizza. We all laughed.

"So who is he." I said with an inquisitive look on my face.

"Huh, ...who is who." she said as if she didn't want me to know.

"Who is your date to the dance."

"Um nobody just ....Shakkeron." She mumbled

"SHAKKERON!" I said as I choked in my sprite and burst into laughter.
"Like Shakkeron Clay."

"Yes Shakkeron Clay...what's so funny." She said as if insulted her in a way. I've was friends with Shakkeron since 4th grade but same thing with him that happened with Shawn we just grew apart except for him his popularity status went down. He got more into his books so yeah I was basically alone until I met Riah and B.

"Nothing just a bit surprised." I said with a smile. Then I looked at Brook and said "Sooo.... are you and Demarcus a thing or you guys just going to the dance." She looked as if she was waiting for me to ask and with a big smile she said . " Well Um... He asked me out officially a couple days ago and OMG it was the best, he had a bear and rose it was greaattt."

I tried my best to look as happy. "Omg girl yesss."
Ok well lemme tell you the little story behind Demarcus there isn't one I've seen him play a lot of girls and I guess I just wanted to be one. It's stupid I know but whatever.

We left Giordano's and we took the bus back home and as soon as we got on the bus I saw Shawn immediately I was annoyed it was just something about seeing him that annoyed me. We sat down across from him and I tried my bets not to make eye contact with him. Mariah,and brook got off at their stops. So it was just me Shawn lived in my building so he was still on too.

I'm listening to music and I look up to see how far I was from my stop and as I'm looking up Shawn is staring at me I said " Take a picture it'll last longer."

"You know what I think I will." He pull out his phone and took a picture. I tried to block it but I was too late mainly because I didn't wanna drop my phone, it was my 3rd one this year.  "Still slow with the reflexes I see." He said with one eyebrows raise. I gave him an annoyed smile as I look back at my phone. He came over and sat next to me, I look at him.
"What?"

"Woah, woah take it easy I just want to talk to you."

"Ok speak"

"Why are you so mean to me"

"What are you? A kindergartner?... I don't know maybe it's because you ditched me for every girl in the school."

"Not every girl."

"Oh right only the ones who were good enough." The bus came to a stop. I got off the bus as fast as I could, not remembering he lives in the same building
"Why are you following me?" I ask.

"Don't flatter yourself we live in the same building babe."

"Call me babe again, and I'll slit your throat." I open the front door and close it immediately.

"You live here let yourself in." I said with a petty smirk. I ran to the elevator but it was out of order but by the time I got to the stairs he was right behind me. I sped up not remembering he ran track all through middle school and cross country in high school so he caught up with me laughing.

"Wow you got faster."

"Not fast enough" I said as I walked to my door. 

"We should catch up"

"Yeah, we should." I said sarcastically. 

"What's your sna..." I slam the door in his face before he got the chance to finish his sentence. It was rude but hey it is what it is.
