Chapter 4
I stumbled out of the crammed janitors office and back into the halls. They were now abandoned compared to the way I saw them before entering the janitors closet. Besides from being completely confused as to what just happened, I must have been oblivious too, because while in my own thoughts I walked myself right into an extremely firm, solid figure.
"Oh my gosh, I'm sorry! I wasn't paying attention and I-" my rambling was abruptly stopped by the blond haired blue eyed angel staring back at me.
"Well hello there Kyla." He had that genuine smile plastered across his face.
I realized he was talking to me and began stuttering like a complete idiot.
"I- uh- so- Er- sorry-" Smoooothhhh Kyla, I thought to myself.
He began chuckling, well I'm glad my social pain was amusing him.
"It's OK, don't worry about it, what would keep you so deep in thought, that you would have no clue that I was staring you down up until the point you bumped into me?"
How the hell would I answer that?
'Oh nothing much, just trying to figure out what just happened in the janitors closet while I was making out with your best friend." That definitely would not run smoothly.
"Um, well I was kind of just roaming around, getting new to the new school." I lied, much more believable this time, if I must say.
"Well how about we head out of here and grab some lunch?" He asked almost too smooth to not be planned.
"I would like that." I smiled, even if he was out of my league I was hoping to be friends with him, he seemed so sincere.
We basically walked right out of school, like my dad would care, as soon as he got home he would probably pass out on the couch (not from being drunk, but pure exhaustion to keep his mind off drinking). He lead me to his car, a black Escalade style truck. Impressive. He opened the door for me and darted back to his side of the car looking like an excited 5 year old boy, who was just about to arrive at Disney World.
I couldn't help but smile in response. He furrowed his eyebrows began to furrow as he asked "What?"
"Nothing, you just look so cute, why are you so excited?" I giggled.
'Honestly, you have to pinkie promise not to say anything or tell any guy I told you."
What are we 5? It was cute when he did it though, I couldn't explain it. We began driving to who knows where for lunch and I encouraged him to spill.
"If you insist." I said with a smirk and grabbing his pinkie, kissing our ow thumbs and pressing them together.
"Well, from the first day every guy in the locker room hasn't shut up about you. They all say how hot you are, they say some pretty..um..different stuff. I didn't wanna listen to them because honestly you're beautiful."
I sat there in the passenger seat, purely shocked, my eyebrows raised telling him to continue.
"Anyways, with all the guys talking about you, they wanted you to get you to come to the football game so they could 'woo' you. And sure I was gonna end up asking you to come to the game, but by then I wanted you only to come to watch me.."
As he parked the car he looked at me with a pair of pure puppy dog eyes, if I've ever seen 'em.
I couldn't help it, I lunged over the center console of the car and dove into his arms giving him the biggest hug I've given to anyone in awhile, besides Alena.
