I crept through the dark corridor even though I had no reason to. If mum or dad found out we had left our room they would most likely beat us again. I knocked on my brothers bedroom door. Of course there was no answer, we never answer our doors. The door creaked as I opened it, like they do in horror films, kinda suits our lifestyle to be honest.
He was lying on the bed, curled up into a ball, we both lay like that at night so it doesn't hurt as much when they whip us at night. "Alfie?" I soothed. He was just stirring from his sleep, as soon as he saw me, he hugged me like there was no tomorrow. We don't see eachother often. "Hey dude, how are you doing?" I asked him as he pulled away from the hug. He nodded in response.
He had never learned how to talk, since he was born he was cast away like me, luckily I had learned to talk first, Alfie wasn't so lucky.
"Listen, I want to tell you something before they return. If I ever disappear or am killed or murdered, please know that I will still support you all of the way, if I am kidnapped, I will find a way back to be with you, I love you, never forget that" I said as a tear rolled down my face.
I heard the sound of the front door being unlocked so I bolted out of the room. "Stay strong Alfie" I whispered as I exited the room. I ran like the wind to reach my room before they noticed.
As I spend all day in my room, there is only 1 thing I can turn to, Youtube. I remember in my dream that I had to work with youtubers to escape. I don't believe anything will happen, I wanted to say that to Alfie for ages now.
I spent all day watching a variety of youtube videos, I received a tiny laptop from my parents when I threatened to kill myself if they didn't give me something to live for. I watch mainly gamers as they lightened up my day with their reactions and jokes.
When night came, I couldn't shake the feeling of worry for some reason, everything will be fine, I told myself, I will wake up like normal, in my own bed, with the same old horrible lifestyle.
I curled up into a ball like Alfie does and fell asleep.
