I had finally made it home, my mind still racing.
As I opened the door, I was greeted by my mom and the smell of her cooking.
"Hi sweetie. How come you're back so late?" She began "...well, later then usual."
She didn't need to know what happened.
"'I was helping a friend with homework." I lied.
My parents don't know about things at school. At first, I never told them because I was scared they'd make me move again, and that maybe I'll make friends later. That never happened.
It's too late to tell them what's happening now, anyway.
"Oh, ok. Dinners almost ready. We're having pasta tonight, your favourite!" She said, cheerfully.
I smiled, "Thanks mom." and dashed up the stairs.
I turned my PC on, but stared blankly at the screen. My mind kept leading back too...
.
.
.
Zack.
I don't know why he's on my mind all the time, am I really falling for him?

Aside from my parents not knowing about my school life, they also don't know I'm gay. I've never really made it apparent, and I'm not ready to come out to them either. After all, what if they'd hate me like Zack's parents?
