"Nice right? Pulled her out of mothballs with a couple of old friends. She's dusty, but she'll do."
Victoria walked toward the bridge, her eyes welling sigh tears due to the relief that floated up her body like sunshine. Finally, some good out of the situation.
"Fury, you son of a bitch," Cap smiled.
"Oh, you kiss your mother with that mouth?"
Pietro zoomed next to her, his arms wrapping around her body as he looked, in astonishment, at the helicarrier.
"This is S.H.I.E.L.D.?"
"This is what S.H.I.E.L.D.'s supposed to be."
Victoria glanced up at Pietro, the Sokovian kissing her hair and smiling.
"This is not so bad."
"Let's load them up!"
Victoria ran to the shelter, "Everyone, follow me!"
The team managed to gather as many people as they could onto the lifeboats. She saw the woman and her son from earlier, the little boy running up to Victoria.
"Tha—Thank," he paused, trying to formulate the English words. "Y—You. My brother want to be hero."
Victoria grinned. She looked at the badge that was still pinned to her arm, before she unpinned it and looked at the badge.
"My father gave me this badge when I became an official hero. He said I'm a strong fighter. What's your name?"
"Domenyc."
"Well, Domenyc, I'm known as Virago. Would you do me the honour, and become a hero?"
The little boy nodded his head so quickly, Victoria was surprised it hadn't fallen off. He pinned the badge onto his jacket, causing the boy to grip into it tightly.
"Now, you are the hero. And tell your brother to think about joining you in your adventures, there's always a spot for you."
He gave her a lopsided grin, his smile missing a tooth. Victoria kissed his head, before he ran over to his mother, the older woman glancing at the badge before turning to Victoria, giving her a smile again.
"Thor, I've got a plan."
"We are out of time," the God answered Tony. "They are coming for the core."
"Rhodey, get the rest of the people onboard that carrier."
"On it."
"Hey Rhodes!"
"Wassup Tori?"
"Avengers, time to work for a living."
Pietro zoomed next to the girl, grinning down at her, "I saw what you did for that boy."
"Jealous, are we, Pietro?"
"Jealous? No. Proud? Just a bit."
"Come on," she giggled. "Let's get to the church."
"You know, I was hoping to bring you here one day. So that I could show you where we grew up," he looked at the destroyed town. "Now, I guess that will never happen."
"You could drag me through hell, and as long as you were holding my hand, I'd be perfectly fine."
"You're so cute."
"It's a talent."
Pietro picked her up, zooming them to the church and starting dealing with the robots there. Once the wave was over, Pietro zoomed to his sister, checking on her.
"You good?"
"Yeah."
"Romanoff?" Tony looked around. "You and Banner better not be playing hide the zucchini."
"Relax, Shellhead. Not all of us can fly."
She arrived, smashing a gate with a truck. Victoria let out a laugh, as the assassin came to stand beside her. "What's the drill?"
"This," Tony pointed to the machine in the middle. "Is the drill. If Ultron even gets a hand on the core, we lose."
Hulk smashed his way through a couple of robots before joining the team. Ultron descended down, his posture relaxed and confident. The confidence made Victoria feel uneasy.
"Is that the best you can do?"
Ultron held up a hand, and from behind him another wave emerged. Thor shrunk back slightly, as he was the one that boomed out the challenge.
"Leave it to the God to challenge a psychotic robot," Victoria groaned.
"You had to ask," Steve spoke looking him.
"This is the best I can do," Ultron motioned to his army. "This is exactly what I wanted. All of you, against all of me. How can you possibly hope to stop me?"
"Like the old man said," Tony looked at Steve. "Together."
