/I will kill you in your sleep,
So you'd better try, try to keep awake./
Inching towards the nectar, I licked my lips. The bag was half full, I shouldn't, but I needed more, I wanted more. The nectar already pulsing through my veins pushed me ever closer to the bag.
' A sip wouldn't hurt,' i thought, '. I would remember my name. Yeah, I would remember my name, for sure. I did it once, I can do it again. '
But what am I thinking? The nectar almost made me lose my mind, I almost killed Donovan, Arabelle, and Zee.
/Your left eye open and your right eye twitchin',
Cause i'm in the kitchen with a knife that's itchin' for your red blood.
On those white sheets./
I shook my head, yet my hand moved for the bag of nectar, picking it up and holding it to my mouth. Despite my hatred for myself right now, I pressed my mouth to the bag, laying back and sucking the nectar from the plastic. I felt the nectar pulse through my veins as I thought to myself, 'Remember your name. You are Alex Sawyer. You have blonde hair, and you have a loving family.'
"My name.. My name is.. I have n-n..." I mumbled, the nectar doing it's work, a small bit of the black-and-spotted-stuff dribbling from my chin. I continued to try to remember my name, until all I could see was silver. I grinned perfectly, sitting up.
I had to find the warden.
I had to find my father.
/ I will kill you in your sleep, so you'd
Better try, try to keep awake./
I looked around, growling lowly. Standing up, I began to saunter through the woods, taking deep breaths as well as looking for my father.
'WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!' A voice yelled at me in my mind, 'YOU ARE ALEX SAWYER! YOU HAVE A LOVING FAMILY WHO WOULDN'T WANT YOU TO DRINK THAT!' Having enough of this, I let out a scream, gripping my hair tightly. "There is no Alex Sawyer!"
'What are you talking about?! You are Alex Sawyer! You have to remember your name!' It screamed again. I hit my head against a nearby tree, screaming out once more. Blood rushed down the side of my face as I began to walk again, breathing heavily.
As I stumbled along, I heard a roar, similar to mine. Looking around, I furrowed my eyebrows. It was probably just a wolf, something I could kill in less than a second. I was invincible, I could do anything. I was my father's, the warden's, creation. I kept walking, trudging, trying to find my father. I was not at Furnace, my home, and I could not smell it, or hear it's screams from the lowlife I used to call inmates.
"Alex." I heard a voice, much deeper compared to mine, and huskier. I turned around, a massive grin across my face, the thought of killing swimming in my mind. I ran my tongue over my teeth, chuckling lowly as I came face to face with someone I hardly remember, almost as if he was a figment of my imagination.
"What are you doing here?"
"Oh, I can't go looking for.." I breathed heavily for a moment, a grin still stretching across my features as the nectar pulsated through me. "I can't go off by myself? What, is the big bad wolf gonna get me?"
I could feel his anger radiating off of him as he took a step towards me. We were now chest to chest as we looked each other in the eye. If the nectar had feelings, it would be excited, as it moved through my veins faster and faster, itching for a fight, to show off what I could now do, thanks to my creator.
